Ideally positioned in the heart of Sorrento, this modern Mediterranean-style apartment is the perfect choice for a party of 6 people looking to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.
Skyline Sorrento is a spacious and bright apartment located on the top floor of a 5-storey residential complex, and is only minutes away from bustling Piazza Tasso Square, Sorrento’s main square.
The most prominent feature of the apartment is the large indoor/outdoor dining terrace which enjoys 180 degree views of the Sorrento hillside, the rooftops of the township and the distant blue waters of the Mediterranean.
After taking the lift to the top floor, you will enter into the main entrance of the apartment which separates the living/dining area and main bedroom with the rest of the apartment. The flow of Mediterranean tiles throughout combined with an eclectic array of furnishings and décor gives the apartment a very homely feel.
The large open plan living/dining area boasts floor to ceiling wooden bifold doors that merge the outdoor alfresco terrace seamlessly into the living areas. The most spectacular views of the Sorrento skyline can be equally enjoyed from the comfort of the 3 seater lounge which faces out towards the terrace. The lounge room is spacious and uncluttered and consists of a sofabed, reading chair, large flat screen TV and dining area.
Directly adjacent to the living room is the main bedroom with double bed and large glass windows overlooking the Sorrento hillside and with distant water views
The eastern side of the apartment houses the kitchenette, two bathrooms, a twin bedroom and separate walk-in cloak room with wardrobes and luggage storage area. The two bathrooms are contemporary in style. One has a shower, washbasin, toilet and hairdryer, while the other a bath with a shower over.
The kitchen is compact yet well-equipped and includes a 4 burner gas stove with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle and a two seater benchtop with stools.
Skyline Sorrento comes with all the basic comforts of an ordinary home including air-conditioning, WiFi internet and a carspace, which is rare for city centre accommodation.
Skyline Sorrento is the perfect base to explore the sights of the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts including Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, the Island of Capri, the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Ercolano and Mount Vesuvio.
A car is not needed at all for a stay at Skyline Sorrento given its central location. Sorrento train station and bus terminal are located less than 100 metres from the apartment, while the bustling coastal town of Sorrento with its spectacular bars, boutiques and restaurants is right outside your doorstep.

About the area
Sorrento, Italy, perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its bustling marinas, is a destination that epitomizes the idyllic Italian coastal experience. Known for its sweeping water views, historic charm, and vibrant citrus groves, Sorrento is a place where the beauty of the Amalfi Coast begins.
The town's historic core, with its narrow alleys and quaint piazzas, invites leisurely exploration. The Piazza Tasso, named after the poet Torquato Tasso, is the central hub of Sorrento life, lined with cafes and bustling with activity. The Chiesa di San Francesco, with its tranquil cloister, is a serene retreat and a popular venue for local events and weddings.
Sorrento's culinary offerings are a highlight, with an abundance of restaurants serving fresh seafood, authentic Neapolitan pizza, and the region's famous limoncello, a sweet lemon liqueur. The town's surrounding countryside is dotted with lemon and olive groves, and local farms often offer tours and tastings that provide a glimpse into the region's agricultural heritage.
For history enthusiasts, the Museo Correale di Terranova houses a collection of Neapolitan paintings, decorative arts, and archaeological finds. Meanwhile, the ancient ruins of the Roman town of Pompeii and the volcanic crater of Mount Vesuvius are just a short trip away, offering a profound look into Italy's past.
Sorrento also serves as a gateway to the rest of the Amalfi Coast, with easy access to the picturesque towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. The scenic drive along the coast is renowned for its breathtaking views and hairpin turns, while ferries from Sorrento's marinas provide a more relaxed route to explore the coastline and the nearby island of Capri.
For those looking to immerse themselves in nature, the nearby hiking trails, such as the Path of the Gods, offer panoramic vistas of the coastline and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The clear blue waters also beckon visitors to enjoy a variety of water sports, including sailing, swimming, and snorkeling.
Sorrento's blend of natural beauty, historical richness, and cultural vibrancy makes it a destination that appeals to romantics, adventurers, and culture seekers alike. Whether you're sipping a cappuccino in a piazza, exploring ancient ruins, or watching the sunset from a cliffside garden, Sorrento captures the essence of the Italian dolce vita.
