Trulli Lorusso is a typical complex of cones and lamia finely renovated, preserving the unique characteristics of these particular country houses. Trulli Lorusso is located just 2 km from the centre of Castellana Grotte in a panoramic area with terraced land, near the ’Grave’, the chasm through which you can access the famous ""Grotte of Castellana"", a site of national speleological and tourist interest. The property is totally fenced in, and has an electric gate and private parking. At the front of the house we find a large patio that accommodates the outdoor kitchen, with a barbecue and a table and chairs for maximum conviviality. From here we can see the salt swimming pool, in a position underneath the house, surrounded by a solarium area with sunbeds and shade for maximum relaxation, an outdoor shower to serve, and a garden with lawn and olive trees.
This area is accessible via an ornamental stone staircase. The front of the trulli is developed in the form of a courtyard; here there are sofas where one can admire the swimming pool and the centuries-old olive trees. The main entrance leads to the large living room with sofas, armchairs and a stone fireplace; the furnishings of the entire house are a combination of antique ’pieces’ and modern lines. On the right side we find the kitchen, equipped with every comfort, with table and chairs and large windows that give plenty of light to the room. The left side leads to the first double bedroom with a bathroom with a shower. The other two double bedrooms have access via the outside of the house; both are large and have en-suite shower rooms. The nearest town is Castellana Grotte, where you will find large supermarkets, pharmacies, as well as typical small restaurants in the historic centre and the famous ""Grotte"".
Other places of interest such as Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Ostuni and many more are not far away.

About the area
Monopoli, a charming coastal town in Italy's Puglia region, is a captivating blend of history, culture, and Mediterranean beauty. This hidden gem, less frequented by the tourist crowds, offers a serene escape with its picturesque landscapes, pristine beaches, and rich historical tapestry.
The heart of Monopoli lies in its Old Town, a labyrinth of narrow streets and whitewashed buildings that exude an old-world charm. Visitors can wander through these alleys, stumbling upon quaint piazzas, historic churches, and the imposing Castle of Charles V, which stands as a testament to the town's strategic importance through the ages.
The town's coastline is dotted with a series of coves and sandy beaches, providing ample opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. The most famous of these is Cala Porta Vecchia, a picturesque beach nestled against the backdrop of Monopoli's ancient city walls.
For those interested in marine life and underwater exploration, Monopoli's sea is rich with opportunities for diving and snorkeling, revealing a submerged world of biodiversity and even some intriguing shipwrecks.
Culinary enthusiasts will delight in Monopoli's gastronomic offerings, which reflect the region's agricultural bounty and seafood traditions. Local dishes often feature fresh produce, olive oil, and fish, with restaurants and trattorias serving up specialties like orecchiette pasta with turnip tops and sumptuous seafood risottos.
Cultural experiences abound, with the town's calendar dotted with festivals and events that celebrate its heritage. Notable among these is the Festa della Madonna della Madia, where a procession at sea commemorates the miraculous arrival of an icon of the Virgin Mary, which according to legend, helped complete the town's cathedral.
Speaking of which, the Cathedral of Maria Santissima della Madia is an architectural marvel, boasting a stunning Baroque facade and a richly decorated interior. Art lovers will find a treasure trove of religious art and iconography within its walls.
For a taste of rural Puglia, visitors can venture into the surrounding countryside, where ancient olive groves and vineyards paint a bucolic scene. Agritourism is popular here, offering a chance to stay in renovated farmhouses and experience the region's agricultural lifestyle.
In essence, Monopoli is a destination that offers a serene coastal retreat, steeped in history and local traditions, with all the charm expected of a southern Italian town. It's a place where travelers can slow down, savor the moment, and immerse themselves in the authentic Puglian way of life.
