Captains Quarters is connected to Shelter Cove Marina, where you’ll find wonderful shopping, popular gourmet restaurants, bars with live music, and the Shannon Tanner Pavilion, which offers two shows nightly in the summer. It’s also the place for super fun water activities like dolphin tours, kayaking, paddle boarding, and boat rentals, including a pirate ship adventure for kids!

Dunes Buggy Shuttle is a free service that will pick you up at the front of our building and runs from 8 am to 9 pm from April to September. If you enjoy riding bikes, it’s only a lovely 10- or 12-minute ride on family-friendly tree-lined bike trails with an easy underpass to cross over to the beach. Or simply take a five-minute car ride over to one of our two private beach access points, Dunes House or Disney Beach House, each of which includes outdoor showers, restrooms, and a snack bar. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach at these locations.
If you have the desire to explore, the historical city of Savannah, Georgia is just an hour’s ride away. It’s a delightful experience to take a stroll from one renowned square to another, admiring the stunning period homes’ architecture, all perfectly preserved.
