Completely renovated and fitted out this year, in a chic and friendly atmosphere, right in the heart of Bordeaux, between shops and restaurants, Le Tanin offers you all the comfort you need for an exceptional stay in Bordeaux. Le Tanin can comfortably accommodate two travellers. The flat is composed as follows: - A living room with a sofa, coffee table and flat-screen TV - A dining area with a convivial table - A fully-equipped open-plan kitchen: fridge, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and conventional oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and a range of utensils. - One bedroom with double bed (140x190) - Bathroom with shower and WC Neighbourhood: Le Tanin is located in the hypercentre of Bordeaux, in a pedestrianised and privileged area, in a small, very quiet street, a stone’s throw from Rue Porte Dijeau, Place Gambetta, Rue Sainte-Catherine (the longest shopping street in Europe) and cultural venues. Transport Secure "Saint Christoly" pay car park 100 meters away. Public transport : - 20 meters away, tram line B (Gambetta stop) - 50 meters away, tram line A (Pey Berland stop) Self-service bike hire: Vcub station 50 metres away (https://www.vcub.fr/stations/plan) €1.60 for 24 hours. Other remarks : - Please note that this accommodation is only available for medium-term stays (30 nights minimum). - Utilities are included in the rental price (water, electricity, internet). Please note, however, that a meter reading may be taken on arrival and departure. - An inventory of fixtures may also be carried out on arrival and departure. - In order to comply with legislation, all bookings of more than 30 nights will require a contract to be signed. - To do this, we will need a few additional items (identity card, insurance, supporting documents). - Unfortunately, we will not be able to give you access to the accommodation unless you sign a contract in due and proper form. - This does not affect the conditions agreed via our website or via the various rental platforms. - Sheets and towels of hotel quality (4/5 stars) are provided, and your bed will be made up on arrival. Tea towels and bath mats are also provided. - Free Wi-Fi access - A washing machine is available in the communal areas of the building (to be shared with two other flats). You will be given a personal welcome by someone from the Property Manager agency in Bordeaux, who will show you around the flat, answer any questions you may have and hand you the keys. A bit of history! The Hôtel de Ruat was built in Bordeaux in 1780 by the architect André Portier for the parliamentarian François-Alain Amadieu de Ruat (1716-1776). It was listed as a Historic Monument in 1965. It is now privately owned. The Porte Dijeaux was the western entrance to the city of Bordeaux from Roman times and was the first line of fortifications. It was not affected by the thirteenth-century expansion to the south. The new 14th-century ramparts moved it a few metres to the west (on the other side of the Rue de Remparts). Outside, a half-moon-shaped merlon, 8 to 10 metres high, served as a redoubt. It was used to repel Cardinal Mazarin’s troops in 1650.
