Location:
Finca Seguinot can be found in the tremendous region of Pollensa, a location that has delighted and inspired tourists for many generations. If you are looking to uncover more about Pollensa’s prehistoric origins, Alzinaret Caves are a real treat. These caves can be found just over 10-minutes away from the centre of Pollensa and give guests the chance to explore a beautifully unique underworld. Experts state that these structures date back to 1600 BC and showcase a range of artefacts and items from the Middle Bronze Age. Even though these caves have a very long history, they were first recorded in 1927 by British archaeologist Wilfred Hemp. To honour his work, there is a cave named Number 7 of Hemp that acts as a shrine.
Located around an hour away from Pollensa, Formentor Lighthouse combines a rich history with spectacular views. This monument was first built in 1863 and was initially used to guide small fishing boats away from the sharp and jagged rocks that sit at the base of the shore. Nowadays, Formentor Lighthouse still holds a lot of value and has been protecting the citizens of Pollensa ever since. This landmark is also popular with many writers and artists throughout history, with Gerardo Diego and Blas de Otero commending its beauty. Guests can take a short drive up to the 210-metre peak and observe the plethora of panoramic views as they travel through.
Pollensa is teeming with vibrancy and energy and hosts a wide array of immersive cultures all within one quaint town. Pollensa Market gives tourists the chance to blend in with the locals and experience an authentic Spanish tradition. This market contains over 300 stalls selling a variety of artisan craft items, clothes, and other souvenirs. Consequently, this is a perfect place to visit if you are looking to pick up a few souvenirs to remind you of your trip. There is even a separate section dedicated to fresh produce, allowing guests to pick up a collection of ingredients that can be used in their own cooking back in Finca Seguinot. Pollensa Market is just a stone’s throw away from the town centre and is open every Sunday from 8 am till 1:30 pm.
