Sparrow Cottage is situated in a rural setting in the village of Waterhouses, south Peak District. Sleeping upto 6 guests, the cottage is ideal for breaks away with family and friends.
Step into the welcoming entrance space and wander into the kitchen where you will be greeted with stunning fitted Shaker units. The impressive conservatory offers a spacious and light place to enjoy a celebration meal. The lounge is cosy and comfortable, with a sofa and chairs to snuggle up in front of the TV. Completing the ground floor is a work at home office space. The property has two bedrooms on the first floor, with a bathroom and shower. Head up another flight stairs to the second floor for the third twin bedroom. This property is perfect for all the family to enjoy and our trusted furry friends are also welcome at Sparrow Cottage. Outside, there is a secure lawned garden area with patio, with garden furniture for dining al fresco. There is off-road parking for one car and ample on road parking for extra cars.

Waterhouses is a charming village located in the Peak District. It is relatively small and rural, so public transport options are somewhat limited. However, there are still ways to explore the village and nearby attractions, whether you prefer walking, cycling, or using public transport to connect to other areas.
There are several bus services that pass through the village, including Route 441 (Ashbourne to Leek) and Route 442 (Ashbourne to Cheadle).
Route 441 is the primary bus service that passes through Waterhouses, linking the village to Ashbourne (about 12 miles away) and Leek (approximately 7 miles away). Both towns offer shopping, dining, and other amenities.
Route 442 also connects Waterhouses with Ashbourne and the nearby town of Cheadle (around 10 miles away), offering another option for travel to local attractions and amenities.
The closest mainline station is in Leek (7 miles away), where you can catch trains to Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, and other larger cities. To reach Leek Station, you can take a bus from Waterhouses or book a taxi.
