INTERIOR
Main House (The house plan is provided in the gallery.)
The heart of the house is a massive open plan living and dining room with kitchen adjacent. This space has huge floor to ceiling picture windows and sliding glass doors front and back giving amazing views and exceptional light. The picture windows open onto the front terrace with sea views, and onto the hidden rear terrace and pool. The living room is decorated with original artwork specially commissioned for the house, and a 1949 BSA motorcycle (which Alex, the owner, considers to be ‘art’). Wanting to surprise, Alex designed two hidden open air courtyards inside the house either side of the living room, separating this space from the sleeping quarters. The master suite, built around its own private courtyard, comprises a double bedroom and separate dressing room, an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, and a sauna. The second bedroom of the house is on the other side of this courtyard with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom as well. At the other end of the house, around the other courtyard is the third bedroom with its en-suite bathroom and walk in shower, a fully fitted media and entertainment room as well as the main entrance to the house. The house also includes a library and a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Separate Guest House
This separate house provides 2 more bedrooms (1 twin bedroom and a double bed one), an additional kitchen and a fully equipped gym . All the working out equipment is newly bought and available to the guests at no additional cost.
EXTERIOR
All around the villa are furnished terraces and patios for day and evening use. Each terrace introduces its own unique ambience.
Enjoy the breeze at the front terrace with a cooling drink gazing at the ever-changing view of the sea, settle down with a book for some quiet time or enjoy a lunch or dinner party at the stone-tiled table.
Dine al-fresco with sumptuous food cooked on the barbecue under a shady canopy on a terrace over-looking the pool.
The poolside terrace has plenty of space for loungers and sun-beds … and you don’t have to move too far to tuck into a hearty meal at the dining table nearby after a swim.
More outdoor sofas create yet another terrace, this time looking out onto the large garden landscaped with rocks, plants and trees from Crete.
Venture into the garden to find more delightful spaces where you can sit and take in the splendid sea and mountain views, or lie in a hammock under the magnificent 2000-year-old olive tree, or perhaps just leisurely wander the secret paths to explore the bountiful plants and trees.
As you would expect from a luxury villa, Longhouse provides different seating areas and terraces around the house giving you shade and cool sea breezes, and privacy for sunbathing.
Beautiful spaces to relax
A number of private benches and sitting areas have been built into the gardens to provide spaces for dreamy contemplation of the natural land and seascapes of Crete.

Likotinara is a small beautiful village which abounds with natural beauty. The local people take great care of it and they have showcased an area with very old Cretan wells as well as a rough path which leads to a small rocky natural beach. It has a local restaurant with Cretan cuisine within walkable distance from the villa. Very close to the village from 3 to 7 minutes away, there are a lot of other Cretan villages which provide amenities like markets, restaurants, bank, hospital and other facilities. As far as beaches are concerned, the location could not be more strategic! It is near the longest sandy organized beach of Crete (9 km away which you can actually see a big of it from the villa) as well as many other popular beaches. The national road is easily accessed within 20 minutes bringing you closer to the city of Chania (34,6 km away from the villa) and Rethimno (30km away) and other Cretan landmarks.
