The Cart House is a delightful cottage with lovely countryside walks, set down a quiet country lane, you will realise just how close the sea is when you catch distant glimpses of it on your approach.Just 350 yards up the lane, a footpath takes you across the National Trust fields to the coastal road opposite Maidenhall car park, less than a mile walk, with a panoramic view of St Brides Bay, where you can access the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and explore this stunning coastline fully. There are other circular walks to be explored over the surrounding National Trust land. Newgale beach is only 1 and a half miles away, while the picturesque cove of Nolton is also nearby. The village of Roch with its local pub serving delicious bar meals is approximately half a mile away.A most attractive stone barn conversion adjoining the owner’s own home, a footpath takes you from your large parking area over a sloping lawn to the cottage. Step into the open-plan living space where open beams and stone fireplace have been retained to give a traditional feel, comfortably furnished with pretty pine furniture. Enjoy cosy evenings around the open fire. The two bedrooms nestle in the eaves while a door leads from the twin bedroom to the original granary steps down to the totally enclosed lawn, a super sheltered spot ideal for children to play while you enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening or stroll through the field and enjoy the wonderful sunsets over the sea.Ideally placed for exploring the rest of Pembrokeshire, a short drive will take you to the picturesque harbour village of Solva, well worth a visit with its pretty shops, pubs and restaurants, in the opposite direction lies the long sandy beach of Broad Haven popular with families and water sport enthusiasts alike.The Cart House is the perfect holiday base.
