Rhossili, renowned as one of the UK’s most picturesque villages, boasts stunning landscapes that have captivated visitors for generations. Named as the top destination by the New York Times in 2021, it features a breathtaking surf beach consistently ranked among the UK’s best, alongside a charming pub, award-winning bistro, inviting coffee shops, and an art gallery. Explore vibrant seasonal shops or visit the National Trust site, where fields of sunflowers and lavender bloom brilliantly in summer.
The Space
At Carissima, you’ll enjoy spectacular sea views from the kitchen, lounge, and two of the four double bedrooms. The remaining two bedrooms overlook the rugged beauty of Rhossili Downs, leading directly to the awe-inspiring cliffs that look over Rhossili and Llangennith beaches. For outdoor enthusiasts, the coast path runs adjacent to the property, providing direct access to miles of captivating hiking and cycling trails.
Step inside and feel at home in our stylishly decorated house, featuring wooden flooring downstairs and plush carpets upstairs. The ground floor invites you in with two welcoming double bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom), two additional bathrooms, and a large kitchen with a stunning sea vista. The kitchen is equipped with a delightful Aga (fully operational in autumn), perfect for crafting home-cooked meals as you soak in the breathtaking views. Gather around the large dining table that seats up to ten, creating memories over delicious meals.
The separate lounge area provides a cosy retreat with a large TV, Sky box, and an extensive collection of DVDs for your entertainment. For added convenience, there’s a utility room with a washing machine and an expansive fridge freezer, plus a shower room and WC.
Outdoors, you’ll find a picnic table at the back and comfortable benches at the front, alongside new outdoor sofas tucked away in a sheltered area. While we do provide a barbecue, please remember to bring your own charcoal!
Explore Rhossili and Beyond
With Carissima’s prime location, you can leave the car parked — there’s ample space for several vehicles — and immerse yourself in the beauty of the village on foot. Enjoy scenic walks down to the beach, up the Rhossili Downs, or to the iconic Worm’s Head headland. Make time for a stop at The View café bar or the village pub, and don’t forget that you can stroll along the 3.5 miles of golden sands to the neighbouring village for a delightful pub lunch!
As the sun sets, unwind with a glass of wine, either from the comfort of Carissima or nestled outside, as you take in the stunning twilight views. It’s the perfect way to conclude your day in this breathtaking part of Wales.
Please Note: As Carissima is located in a more remote area, Wi-Fi and mobile phone signals can be patchy at times. However, this only adds to the charm of escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We allow two well behaved dogs on request. Usual house rules apply, please don’t let them upstairs, and do not leave unattended at the property and please clean up all dog mess.
