Welcome to Centennial, one of Colorado's newest cities, incorporated in February 2001. Centennial is a continually sought-after location to live, work, and play. It’s one of the safest areas in Denver, located just 10 minutes from Denver’s booming Tech Center, conveniently located to the Rocky Mountains and downtown Denver, and has a great network of trails, parks, and open spaces. Centennial has a plethora of trails to explore for walking, running, hiking, and biking. There are more than 14 parks in town! Don’t miss Centennial Center Park, an 11-acre park featuring an amphitheater area, a water playground, and tons of wide open space to run and play. Centennial is also home to the Streets at SouthGlenn (2 miles away), which is a walking mall that has a movie theater and a variety of shops, boutiques, and restaurants! Local eateries that are a short car ride away: The Poke Story Southglenn (1.7 miles away) - Fresh poke bowls and burritos, boba tea, and delicious sweets. First Watch (1.8 miles away) - Charming cafe for breakfast, brunch, and lunch! Hopscotch (2 miles away) - American restaurant and bar with hearty entrees, games, and a patio. You’re also within a half hour of Denver’s best attractions, including City Park, Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Botanical Gardens, and more. Here for a concert? Red Rocks is 25 minutes away by car. You may want to check out this area regardless of your itinerary – it’s a unique place, and its gateway town of Morrison is charming. Further south, you’ll find Roxborough State Park for nearby hiking trails. One of Colorado’s main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive 1.5 hours through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We’re also within a few hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and other snowy delights. There is a Nordic center near Breck if you want to try out cross-country skiing, and the summer months are a great time to rent a kayak to explore Dillon Reservoir. In short, this is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies!
