The Stockmans Camp 1 - Sunset by Property Manager is a hidden gem located in the rural valley of Stockmans Camp Buchan, offering uninterrupted views and access to everything Buchan South has to offer. Only 56 mins drive to the nearby town of Paynesville, an 11 mins drive to East Gippsland Shire, and a short trip to Snowy River National Park, Lakes Entrance Beach, Lake Tyers Beach, and more. A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for you to use. If you plan to spend your tiny house Victoria getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you! IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be other guests on the property— where a second tiny house sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, you can contact the land host ahead of time to make arrangements. Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except the land host’s private residence. By car: - 1 hr, 36 min drive via Bullumwaal Rd to Gippsland - 4 hr, 21 min drive via M1 and Princes Hwy/A1to Melbourne - 56 min drive via Great Alpine Rd/B500 to the nearby town of Paynesville By public transport: We recommend guests travel by private vehicles, but if you’re coming from the resort town of Paynesville and city of Melbourne. You may follow these steps: From Paynesville to Buchan South: - You can start by taking a bus from Paynesville to Bairnsdale. V/Line offers services that connect these locations. - Then from Bairnsdale, you can check for any local bus services that may take you closer to Buchan South. Alternatively, you might need to consider a taxi or rideshare for this leg, as direct public transport options might be limited. From Melbourne to Buchan South: - You can ake a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Bairnsdale. The journey takes about 3.5 to 4 hours. - Once you arrive in Bairnsdale, check for local bus services or shuttles that can take you to Buchan. Again, a taxi or rideshare might be necessary if bus services are not available. Additional Tips: - Always check the latest schedules and routes on the V/Line website or app, as they may change. - Given the rural nature of the area, planning your trip in advance will help ensure a smoother journey. - No WiFi - No pets allowed - No flying of drones - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - No smoking allowed inside the the tiny home, or on the property - Mobile reception is good for Telstra only; other providers have limited coverage - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Important note: - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property - Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
