Chalet Xanadu is a six-bedroom chalet in Morzine, perfect for a family holiday or group stay. Its luxury boho-chic interior design gives it a light and homely feel, heightened by the sunshine filtering through the windows all day long. Big wraparound balconies and a huge decking area also make the most of the sunny position and the incredible views over the Morzine valley.
The chalet spans six levels (with a secret kids’ den on the top floor). The den has games, books and floor-to-ceiling windows with views over the valley. It can also double as an extra sleeping area if you are looking to accommodate 20 guests. Other thoughtful touches for families include a bunk room with an en-suite bathroom featuring both an adult height and low sink for kids.
The open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen is a blissful place to be, with a Scandinavian vibe. Think elegant, simple furniture and light fittings, cream sofas and warm touches from the orange blankets and pillows. Tucked around the corner, there is a TV area with comfy armchairs and beanbags.
When fully catered in the ski season, our team of hosts will top-up the logs in the lounge’s huge fireplace and serve you drinks and canapes before dinner. Our professional chef will create a fine-dining menu, taking into account any requests for kids’ meals or dietary needs. Our 24-hour driver service will also be included during the winter months, so your group can get around the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets with ease.
The chalet is located on the sunny side of town and just above the road linking Morzine to Montriond. During summer, you can cross the road and stroll along the Dereches River Walk into town, passing sculptures, play areas and wildlife. The riverside walk leads to Morzine’s indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the Super Morzine lift. Alternatively, it’s around a 10-15-minute walk alongside the road to the suspension bridge, which leads over to the Super Morzine lift and the town’s bars and restaurants.
Chalet Xanadu has six bedrooms, all with an en-suite bathroom or shower room. Three of the bedrooms have a super king bed, which can split into twin beds. Two bedrooms have a super king bed. The final bedroom is a bunk room with four double beds, which can sleep a maximum of eight people.
The bedrooms are split over three levels. The bedroom on level 5 has incredible views over Nyon and a big balcony, so you can enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the mountains. The en-suite also has a beautiful freestanding egg-shaped bath. Three more bedrooms are on level 3 and each one has access to a big shared balcony with fantastic views of Mont Chery, Pleney and Roc d’Enfer and an en-suite bathroom or shower room. This floor also has a wellness area with a large indoor sauna and shower, which leads outside to the hot tub. It’s a great place to enjoy the view with a glass of bubbles!
The larger master suite is on level 2 and it has direct access to a big decking area with garden furniture. It is a sunny spot throughout the day. Next to the master suite is the bunkroom with four double beds. It has a big bathroom with a bath, double sinks (one for kids) and a shower with a seat.
At the main entrance level, there is a big lobby with ample space for jackets and helmets, plus a boot room with heated boot warmers. Chalet Xanadu also has six off-street parking spaces and a big garage that can be used for storage only, so perfect for bikes and ski equipment.
Whether you choose a catered stay in winter or a self-catered summer escape, Chalet Xanadu is a fantastic choice for a holiday in Morzine.
