Cabin 15 Derringer is a free-standing mountain cabin nestled beside the Powder River Run high on the Moonlight Basin side of Lone Mountain. Step out your front door and onto the slopes from this luxurious newly transformed gem of a cabin.
This is not your standard-issue Big Sky Cowboy Cabin. This recently upgraded cabin is refined and elegant throughout boasting beautiful furnishings, a stone fireplace, custom wood cabinetry, high-end appliances in the eat-in kitchen and sophisticated amenities all round. Year-round Big Sky adventures start and end here under a galaxy of stars soaking in your private hot tub with unimaginable views of the Spanish Peaks.
This 880 sq ft cozy cabin sleeps five guests comfortably in an en-suite master and queen bunk room and is an ideal base for families, couples or a group of friends to explore Big Sky.
Whether you’re chasing wild water adventures in the warm summer months or looking for a one-of-a-kind slope side experience, Moonlight Basin Cowboy Heaven Cabins promise an authentic Big Sky Montana vacation in cowboy style! Perched high on the Moonlight side of Lone Mountain, you’re centrally and conveniently located to enjoy all that Big Sky has to offer and a scenic drive away from an incredible Yellowstone day trip.
SKI ACCESS
Cowboy Heaven Cabins boast TRUE ski-in/ski-out access to Big Sky Resort! The BEST on the mountain and suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts at Moonlight typically open early to mid December. There is no ski access until the lifts open or after lifts close.
Ski Out:
Step off the back deck of your Big Sky Montana rental cabin onto the Gambler ski access trail. Ski through the tunnel below you. Follow Gambler access out to Powder River Ski Run which will take you right to the Moonlight Lodge and the Ironhorse chair lift. (Green access)
Ski In:
From the top of Ironhorse or Six Shooter lifts, ski down Lazy Jack to the intersection of Cinnabar and Powder River. Stay straight on Powder River continuing through the ski tunnel. Take your first right and travel over the skier bridge. This is the Gambler Way access. Your home will be the 6th on the right.
