Derringer Retreat is a beautifully designed ski in / ski out mountain lodge situated within Big Sky Resort right on the slopes. Ideal for families or small groups, this cozy log cabin offers two luxe bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a private hot tub, and unbeatable views. Located just minutes from Mountain Village and within an hour drive to Yellowstone National Park, this charming abode provides effortless access to world class skiing, hiking, biking, dining, and everything Big Sky has to offer!
You’ll feel on top of the world as you enter this home, with sweeping mountain views from every window. The living area has been thoughtfully designed and features a wood burning stove, a large flat screen TV, and cozy furnishings. The open floor plan leads into the kitchen and dining area boasting stainless steel appliances and seating for four. An extended outdoor deck boasts ample seating, a BBQ grill, a large hot tub, and a dramatic stone fire pit all framed by breathtaking views of Big Sky.
Ready to rest easy? This home features two spacious bedrooms each hosting King beds and flat screen TVs. There is also room for overflow sleeping in the living room. Whether visiting for world class skiing and snowboarding in winter or hiking, biking, and fishing in summer, Derringer Retreat offers the perfect home base any time of year in Big Sky.

SKI ACCESS
Cowboy Heaven Cabins boast TRUE ski-in/ski-out access to Big Sky Resort! The BEST on the mountain and suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts at Moonlight typically open early to mid December. There is no ski access until the lifts open or after lifts close.
Ski Out:
Step off the back deck of your Big Sky Montana rental cabin onto the Gambler ski access trail. Ski through the tunnel below you. Follow Gambler access out to Powder River Ski Run which will take you right to the Moonlight Lodge and the Ironhorse chair lift. (Green access)
Ski In:
From the top of Ironhorse or Six Shooter lifts, ski down Lazy Jack to the intersection of Cinnabar and Powder River. Stay straight on Powder River continuing through the ski tunnel. Take your first right and travel over the skier bridge. This is the Gambler Way access. Your home will be the fourth on the right.
