Welcome to Living Funchal by Homie!
This incredible accommodation is located in a luxury residential complex about 500 metres from the centre of Funchal. In addition to its beautiful surroundings, this accommodation also offers access to the condominium’s private swimming pool and gym in the same building (for an extra charge).
The apartment is very well-lit due to its solar exposure granted by the generous balcony. This is ideal for meals, leisure or even to relax.
The balcony is common to both the main bedroom, living room and also to the laundry and kitchen areas.
The main bedroom is ideal for a couple as it features a queen-size bed and plenty of storage space. The living room, in turn, can accommodate an adult or even two children. Also in this room, we have a small, very pleasant and practical dining area.
The only existing bathroom supports both the main bedroom and all other areas of the house.
Finally, the kitchen is fully equipped and prepared so that nothing is missing. Coffee machine, dishwasher and oven are just some of the features you will find here. To further help with your daily tasks, and if needed, the accommodation offers a laundry room with a washing machine, iron and clothesline.
When visiting Madeira Island, we always recommend renting a car as you can explore with complete freedom and convenience. For your safety, the accommodation offers a parking space in the building’s garage and also several free parking spaces in its surroundings in case you have family or friends who want to visit you.
If you choose not to rent a car, near the apartment (about 70 metres), you will find a bus stop that provides a direct connection to the city centre. Funchal is a must-visit for all those who visit us, as they should not miss the Lavradores Market, the old town, and a walk along the Avenida do Mar.
But Madeira is not limited to Funchal. With this central location, you can easily visit other areas of the island, such as the romantic Monte area, the picturesque village of Câmara de Lobos, or the inviting Lido zone.
If you want to explore the greener area of the island, you cannot miss the Rabaçal area, where you will find the emblematic Levada das 25 Fontes, Ribeiro Frio known as the heart of Laurissilva, or even Ponta de São Lourenço, the most arid and dry zone as it is the oldest part of the entire island.
There will be no shortage of activities for you to get to know Madeira like a true local. Whether it’s a jeep tour, a hike, or even canyoning, we have no doubt that this will be one of your best stays ever!
Since 2017, we have been receiving travellers from all over the world on our beloved Madeira Island, with the commitment to provide memorable experiences and excellent service.
We started as Madeira Sun Travel, a name that reflected the sun, comfort, and welcoming spirit that has always guided us.
Over time, we realised that we wanted to go further: more proximity, more authenticity, more connection.

Nestled between the blue of the sea and the green of the mountains, Funchal is known for its mild climate year-round, making it an ideal spot for those seeking both relaxation and adventure.
One of the city's most enchanting attractions is the Madeira Botanical Garden, which boasts a stunning collection of tropical and subtropical flora. Visitors can wander through meticulously landscaped gardens, marvel at exotic plants, and enjoy panoramic views of the city and harbor. The Monte Palace Tropical Garden is another horticultural haven, complete with oriental-inspired gardens and a museum housing an impressive collection of minerals and gemstones.
Funchal's historic center, with its charming cobblestone streets and 15th-century cathedral, offers a glimpse into the island's past. The Mercado dos Lavradores, a lively farmers' market, is a feast for the senses, where travelers can sample local fruits, vegetables, flowers, and the renowned Madeira wine.
For those interested in the arts, the Museu de Arte Sacra showcases a fine collection of Portuguese and Flemish art, while the CR7 Museum is dedicated to the life and career of Madeira's most famous son, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Adventure seekers will find plenty to do in and around Funchal. The surrounding mountains provide excellent opportunities for hiking and mountain biking, with trails that offer breathtaking views. The nearby sea invites visitors to partake in whale and dolphin watching, deep-sea fishing, and scuba diving in the crystal-clear waters.
Cable car rides to the hilltop town of Monte are a popular activity, where one can visit the beautiful church of Nossa Senhora do Monte and even take a thrilling toboggan ride back down to Funchal in a traditional wicker sledge.
Funchal's culinary scene is a reflection of its diverse culture, with a range of dining options from high-end restaurants to local taverns serving up delicious Madeiran cuisine, such as espetada (grilled beef skewers) and bolo do caco (traditional garlic bread).
In essence, Funchal is a destination that offers a rich tapestry of experiences. From its lush gardens and historic architecture to its outdoor adventures and warm hospitality, Funchal is a city that caters to all tastes and leaves visitors with lasting memories.
