One of the highlights is the large shared swimming pool, designed in an elegant mezzaluna shape and measuring up to 25 metres at its longest point, ideal for swimming, cooling off and relaxing by the water. A fitness room is also available for guests to use during their stay. The centre of Gaiole can be reached on foot in less than ten minutes and offers a good selection of shops, a Coop supermarket, cafés and excellent restaurants. The town is well known for the annual vintage cycling event L’Eroica and is an appealing base for exploring the surrounding countryside by bike, with cycle hire available locally. Set in the heart of the Chianti Classico, the area is rich in renowned wineries, charming medieval villages and scenic landscapes. Siena, Arezzo and Florence are all within easy reach for rewarding day trips. About the villa Casacorvo Maggiore is a spacious second floor holiday apartment with traditional wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. It is comfortably furnished and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The large sunny terrace garden is furnished for outdoor dining and overlooks Gaiole and the Chianti hills.
