Ponsonby road is a 2 minute walk from the house. Ponsonby is one of Auckland’s main hospitality areas, with multitudes of restaurants and bars and boutique shops, and supermarkets. In the other direction is Grey Lynn with boutique wine bars and top restaurants. There are 2 large parks - Grey Lynn park and Western Park within 5 -10 minute walk.
Although Ponsonby road is busy and lively, Norfolk street is quiet and very local feeling, with friendly neighbours.
It’s a short walk to the CBD - 20mins, Victoria Park and Wynyard Quarter.
Buses on Ponsonby Road and Richmond road will take you to the city, Parnell, K’Road, Hospital, Auckland Domain and to Newmarket for the large new Westfield mall. Pretty much anywhere is accessible from here by public transport.
