The other bedrooms are located on the first floor. One is a "BUNK ROOM" with 4 twin beds, including a bunk bed. And the other bedroom has a double bed with a cozy chic feel. We also have 2 pack n plays and 2 booster seats for our youngest guests. Our large porch has multiple spaces to enjoy your coffee or dinner, not to mention the highly coveted SCREENED-IN PORCH.
The LOCATION of the Walker Mountain House is just perfect. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, situated between "downtown" and Attitash Mountain. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and Settler’s Green shopping area - yet only 10-20 minutes away from those spaces filled with shopping, restaurants, playgrounds and more. We’re also 30 minutes to the famous MT. WASHINGTON HOTEL which we like to visit for lunch or tea. Or in the summer time, you can hike/drive up Mt. Washington, or golf on the majestic course overlooking the tallest peak in the Northeast. Or in the winter time, ski Bretton Woods or snowshoe/cross country ski and so much more.
For summer adventures, we’re 5 minutes to Storyland and about 50 minutes from Santa’s Village. We’re close to so many hiking trails including the Mt. Stanton trailhead in our own neighborhood. We’re close to Diana’s Bath, Echo Lake and Jackson Falls with easy access to the Kancamagus Highway with many hiking trails of its own. Not to mention, our own neighborhood Saco River access - perfect for a quick dip or a relaxing day on the river shore.

Quiet neighborhood walking distance to the Saco River and 5 minutes to Attitash!
Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Perfect for walking or running. The Mt. Stanton (1.4 miles) trailhead is located in our neighborhood. In the summer, you can walk or drive to the neighborhood beach. If you drive, you’ll park on the road and walk down the path, through the woods to an awesome sand beach right along the Saco River. You’ll see kayakers and floats going by. It’s shallow water with an active current depending on the river levels. There are usually wading pools perfect for younger kiddos. And plenty of rocks for endless throwing into the river. We recommend water shoes! There are no public restrooms.
