Ruby Lane House is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom single-level home on Ruby Lane — a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood a few minutes’ drive from downtown Leadville, Colorado. The home holds two queen bedrooms and a third bedroom with a bunk bed for 6 sleepers total, plus a large open-concept living and dining area that opens onto a covered deck with Adirondack chairs, a hanging egg chair, a patio table, and a propane grill.
The fully equipped kitchen features a large island that seats several guests and opens to the living area. Large windows throughout the main living area frame the surrounding trees and let in natural light. The primary bathroom has double vanity sinks; the second full bathroom serves the other bedrooms. A washer/dryer, dishwasher, smart TV, and WiFi are all included.
Downtown Leadville (Harrison Avenue restaurants, shops, and mining-history museums) is a short drive. Ski Cooper is 25 minutes north. Copper Mountain is ~35–40 minutes east. Turquoise Lake is about 15 minutes north. Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive trailheads are ~25 minutes south.
This home has no air conditioning — not needed at 10,152 ft. Pet-free home. Parking for 2–3 vehicles in the driveway. 4WD or AWD vehicles handle the neighborhood roads more easily in winter; the roads are maintained but snow is part of the environment. Managed by Traverse Hospitality. License #2026-096.
Ruby Lane House is a single-level 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home on Ruby Lane, a wooded neighborhood a few minutes from downtown Leadville. The home is laid out for families and small groups who want quiet trees and a real covered deck instead of an in-town Victorian. 2 queen bedrooms plus a third bedroom with a bunk bed hold 6 sleepers comfortably.
The interior features an open-concept living and dining area with large windows onto the surrounding trees, a smart TV, and plush seating for the full group. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size appliances, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, and a large center island with seating — well-configured for group meal prep and apres-ski snacking. A dedicated dining table seats the whole group.
The primary bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a double-vanity sink setup; the second full bathroom serves the other two bedrooms. A washer/dryer and WiFi are included. The covered deck extends the living area outside with Adirondack chairs, a hanging egg chair, a metal patio table with chairs, and a propane grill — ideal for after-ski drinks or outdoor dinners.
The home has no air conditioning — at 10,152 ft, nights run in the 40s–50s even in July. Pet-free home. 2–3 vehicle parking in the driveway. Managed by Traverse Hospitality. License #2026-096.
Guests have the full private home to themselves — all three bedrooms, both bathrooms, the kitchen, the open living and dining areas, the covered deck, and the driveway. No shared spaces. Self check-in with door code. Your door code, WiFi password, and Leadville guidebook arrive by email before your stay.
Ruby Lane is a residential wooded neighborhood — you will need a vehicle for both your trip to Leadville and for getting to outdoor destinations. There is no regular public transit.
Airports: Denver International (DEN) is about 2 hr 15 min via I-70 and US-24. Eagle County Airport (EGE) is ~50 min via I-70. Colorado Springs is ~2 hr 45 min.
Parking: 2–3 vehicles fit in the driveway. Neighborhood roads are maintained year-round, but 4WD or AWD vehicles handle winter conditions more easily — snow is part of the environment up here. A standard sedan can work on plowed roads, but budget a bit more drive time in storm conditions.
Downtown Leadville is ~5 minutes away by car.
ALTITUDE: Leadville sits at 10,152 feet — the highest incorporated city in North America. Plan your first 24 hours easy: drink double your usual water, ease up on alcohol, and avoid heavy exertion the day you arrive. Symptoms of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, and shortness of breath. We cannot offer refunds for altitude sickness — if you’re prone, consider travel insurance.
NO A/C: Nights in Leadville run 40s–50s even in July. Windows and cross-breezes handle daytime warmth. A/C is not installed and is not needed at this elevation.
NO PETS: Ruby Lane House is a pet-free home.
WINTER DRIVING: Neighborhood roads are maintained, but 4WD or AWD makes winter access easier. Budget extra drive time during and after storms. Chains may be required on some Colorado roads during winter — check COTrip.org before long drives.
PARKING: 2–3 vehicles in the driveway.
NO FIREPLACE: This home does not have a fireplace.
OUTDOOR GEAR: Covered deck with Adirondack chairs, hanging egg chair, metal patio set, and propane grill.
CHECKOUT TIME: Checkout is 10:00 AM. This is earlier than some rentals — please plan departure accordingly.
QUIET HOURS: Leadville observes Quiet Hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
WILDLIFE: You’re in a wooded mountain neighborhood. Expect the occasional insect, small critter, or mule deer walking through. We pest-treat regularly and ask that you keep doors closed.
