Originally constructed in 1847, the Sunday Haus (which is not part of the accommodations) was known as the John Jakob Peter Haus and remained in the same family for over 70 years. In recent times, an exquisite guest house was seamlessly added to the main dwelling, resulting in a spacious and welcoming suite for our esteemed guests. Payment & Cancellation - 14 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 14 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 14 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 14 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 14 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 14 days before arrival: 100% refund.

- *You must be 21 years or older to rent this property.
- *Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the premises, whether indoors or outdoors.
- *Fireworks are not allowed.
- *Please be respectful of the property and your neighbors.
- *No pets are allowed at this vacation rental.
- HVAC Rules:
- AC: If you would like it cooler in your rental, please allow a few hours for the air conditioner to stabilize by gradually lowering the temperature by 2 degrees each hour, placing the fan on AUTO, and keeping doors/windows closed. This helps prevent the AC from malfunctioning due to the intense Texas heat. Ensure the temperature is not set below 68 degrees when cooling.
- HEATING: Please do not heat the house above 76 degrees as this will cause strain on the heating system. Please keep doors and windows closed as often as possible. If the temperature falls below 32 degrees outside, please allow all indoor faucets to drip and keep all cabinet doors open.
- Important: We are committed to protecting our properties and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations. We have a protection plan in place included in the booking price, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent verification.
