About the area
Lille Strandstræde is one of the oldest streets in Copenhagen, dating back to the 16th century. It used to be a bustling commercial hub, with many shops and merchants selling their wares. While it is no longer the commercial hub it once was, you'll still find a few shops and boutiques here. Look for unique souvenirs and handmade crafts.
The street is lined with beautiful old buildings, many of which have been restored and renovated. You'll see a mix of traditional Danish architecture and more modern designs.
There are several cafes and restaurants on Lille Strandstræde, serving everything from coffee and pastries to gourmet Danish cuisine. Check out La Banchina, a popular cafe and restaurant located right on the water.
