It's a haven for thrill-seekers with options like bungee jumping, skydiving, jet boating and during winter months, top-notch skiing and snowboarding in the Southern Hemisphere.
The town itself is delightful with a lively dining atmosphere. There's an array of restaurants and cafes serving everything from high-end cuisine to laid-back meals. The Central Otago region surrounding Queenstown is renowned for its first-rate vineyards and wineries where visitors can taste award-winning Pinot Noir amongst other varieties.
