This gorgeous home on Lac Beauclair for 14 people, located only 20 minutes from Wakefield and 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa, is everything you could dream of! Quiet, relaxing, and private surrounded by forest. Head down to the dock for a swim, lounge, BBQ and dine on the huge deck space and hot tub overlooking the water, or enjoy a bonfire with the beautiful view of the lake. Unwind from work or the stresses of every day life through the serenity of nature.
There are lots of great outdoor activities nearby such as skating in the forest(Lac des loups 7min away), miles of cross country ski trails and ski hills within 1 hour away such as: Vorlage, Edelweiess & Camp Fortune, Mont Cascades. The area also boasts walking trails, maple shacks and you can even snowshoe or ski right out the door and onto the lake once frozen! Return home and cozy up with the electric fireplace. On cold winter days, challenge your family to a game of ping pong, or relax with Netflix or a DVD on the huge TV.
Wakefield has amazing local restaurants, bakeries, boutique shops and more and is a great way to spend a day(or several) walking around and exploring!
Ottawa is located only 45 minutes away where you can take advantage of the historic downtown buildings, skate on the famous Rideau Canal and walk around the Byward market downtown which often has street entertainment, great restaurants and be sure to grab a Beavertail pastry!
Extended families will love the bunkie, which is a fully equipped standalone home that sleeps 4 (2 in the queen bed and 2 in the bunk). A full bathroom and kitchenette ensures you can have independent time when needed and spread out but still gather in the main house as desired.
