The Beale Street Historic District is renowned for its live music venues where the sounds of blues, jazz, and rock 'n' roll permeate the atmosphere.
The city also holds a significant place in America's civil rights movement. The National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel offers a deeply engaging journey into this pivotal era in American history.
