Conveniently positioned near the vibrant towns of Cashiers (10-15 minutes) , Sylva/Highlands (35 minutes), and Western Carolina University (20 minutes) the cottage is a perfect balance of seclusion with accessibility to year-round activities.
Offering three cozy bedrooms, a pullout sofa and 2.5 baths, the cottage welcomes guests with a warm embrace of rustic elegance. You will feel right at home as the interior exudes a timeless charm and is thoughtfully decorated with guests in mind. The fully equipped kitchen caters to chef in the group and plenty of space for dining together inside or out. Between the great room with plenty of seating and a wood burning fireplace or the den with a big screen tv, there is space to gather together. The bookcases contain a large variety of books (everything from Nancy Drew to self-improvement to thrillers and even some novels based on the local area.) You can use the board games to enjoy some family time in front of the fireplace. Step outdoors and take in the fresh mountain air, while listening to the babbling creek at the edge of the property.
The backyard includes a custom built brick oven with all the necessary accessories to cook a Neapolitan style pizza or a steak. The hot tub offers a relaxing soak under the open sky, while the solo stove or standard fire pit invites evenings of storytelling and s’mores. You’re also welcome to bring your four legged family member. Whether you’re coming for the hiking, exploring the lake, or simply savoring quiet moments on the cottage porch, Lake Glenville Cottage ensures an unforgettable escape!

- Entry to the neighborhood is via a steep, narrow asphalt road that leads to a gravel road with a fairly steep grade. The gravel portion can be rather bumpy at times. A 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended, but not necessary. Low clearance vehicles are not recommended.
- Parking for up to 6 vehicles
- Reservations made within 7 days of check-in require additional documentation before confirmation.
Quiet Policy: Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords.
Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.
Pets: This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.
