Attractions: THE DISTRICT OF PORTO SANT’ELPIDIO
Porto Sant’Elpidio is a town along the Marche coast, in the province of Fermo, known for the footwear district. The historic seaside village, which originated as a seaport of Sant’Elpidio a Mare, has now become a well-equipped seaside resort.
It is characterized by a sand and gravel beach that runs for over seven kilometres, between the town and the sea. The large pine forest near the sea is bordered by a cycle path. Among the accommodation facilities present, the campsites located along the coast stand out above all: vast areas surrounded by greenery, perfectly equipped, represent an ideal environment for lovers of open-air holidays.
Worth a visit: the ancient Clock Tower, symbol of the city, erected to defend against pirate invasions; the Church of the Annunziata and the noble villas, such as Villa Murri and Villa Barrucchello, which are used, especially in summer, for cultural events. In the locality of Cova, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows was founded in the 16th century. From a naturalistic point of view, the Tenna basin is interesting, known as the "Paludi di San Marco", especially for ornithological observation in late autumn and early spring.
In Porto Sant’Elpidio the free beaches are equipped with a walkway for access which, however, does not arrive directly on the seashore. As far as bathing establishments are concerned, most of them are equipped with essential services in accordance with the law. In particular, on the Trieste North seafront, the accommodation facilities almost all have slides for the removal of architectural barriers and are equipped for the reception of the disabled. On the Europa seafront, at the La Risacca Holiday Center, a JOB chair is available and access to the beach is guaranteed for the disabled. On the central promenade, viale della Vittoria, all establishments guarantee platforms and access to the beach. The seafront area located in via Faleria is also entirely accessible: there are platforms for entering the beach and reserved toilets.

With its picturesque beaches along the Adriatic Sea, Marcelli is a haven for those seeking sun, sea, and sand. The town's long stretches of sandy shores are perfect for sunbathing, while the clear blue waters invite swimming, sailing, and windsurfing.
The town's promenade is lined with a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants, where visitors can indulge in delicious local cuisine, including fresh seafood and the region's famous white wines, such as Verdicchio. The evening passeggiata (leisurely walk) along this promenade is a beloved ritual that offers a glimpse into the relaxed Italian lifestyle.

The nearby Conero Regional Park is a natural paradise, offering hiking trails through lush forests and to dramatic cliff-top views over the sea. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, as well as secluded beaches that can be reached by foot or by boat.
For those interested in history and culture, the medieval hilltop town of Loreto is just a short drive away. Loreto is famous for its Basilica della Santa Casa, a shrine that is said to contain the house in which the Virgin Mary lived. The basilica's stunning architecture and art are a draw for pilgrims and art enthusiasts alike.
Another nearby attraction is the city of Ancona, the capital of the Marche region. Ancona's rich history is evident in its ancient Roman ruins, such as the Arch of Trajan, and its Renaissance cathedrals. The city's port also offers the opportunity for day trips to other Adriatic destinations.
Marcelli's blend of beautiful beaches, cultural experiences, and proximity to natural and historical sites makes it an ideal destination for travelers looking for a more authentic and tranquil Italian vacation.
