Welcome to northern Michigan, where our wintertime weather can swing from glorious to ferocious in a flash. Each of our properties has snow removal service scheduled to plow with each snowfall amounting to at least 4 inches of snow. If the vehicle you bring is not 4-Wheel or All-Wheel Drive, please be aware of the potential risks accessing the property when snow is present.
Security Camera - There is one security camera on the property. Location and direction is as follows:
1. On the corner of the garage, facing down the driveway, observing the parking spot and driveway.

Please Note: All guests staying at this property must be 25 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. This will be verified after booking confirmation.
A damage waiver fee is required by Property Manager for each stay. For this property, the fee is $79 and provides our guests with accidental damage coverage up to $1000. If the amount of damage exceeds this, or if the damage is found to have occurred with malicious intent, Property Manager retains the right to seek damages beyond that amount.
High chair and pack n play available upon request for an additional charge.
Firewood is not provided. However, there are many local firewood stands along the roads, or it can be purchased at one of the nearby gas stations.
Garage is not available for guest use.
There is a non-refundable credit card processing fee applied to all reservations.
If the reservation is 14 days or longer there will be a required mid-stay clean.

Secluded Hideaway near Sleeping Bear Dunes
Hideaway is a great escape for friends, couples, and small families. Located on a private road surrounded by forest, this cozy cottage is great for retreats.

Into Food? Cafes, restaurants, and summer food trucks are a short drive away in Honor, Beulah, and Benzonia. Local breweries, distilleries, and wineries are within 15 minutes. Not much further are more options in Frankfort, Empire, Glen Arbor, Traverse City, Leland/Fish Town, and Sutton’s Bay.
Are You Active? Only 10 minute drive to kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding on Platte River and Lake Michigan. 15-minute drive to either Crystal Lake or National Shoreline beaches, 20 to Empire Beach and Sleeping Bear Dunes, and 25 to Glen Lake.
Do you like hiking? Within 10 minutes there are beautiful hiking trails that wind around lakes as well as through dunes and forests. There are also many hikes that start in forests and end on Sleeping Bear National Shoreline beaches, located on Lake Michigan.
Looking For More? Other things close by are an alpaca farm, lighthouses, horse rides, skiing, snowboarding, golf courses, and a drive-in movie theatre. Within an hour there are more things to do like snowmobiling, zip-lining, a casino, adventure parks, mini-golf - great day trips!
