The town: 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive on a new paved road. The walk is part of the appeal — howler monkeys and exotic birds most mornings. The beach: Directly accross the neighborhood road, Playa Langosta’s tide pools are full of colorful fish and the occasional octopus. Playa Tamarindo is a short 10 minute walk on the same road to town and provides wide sand beaches for long walks and generally calmer waves. For surfers: directly in front of the estuary is the local favorite break. You’ll see more boards than cars in the mornings. Nearby: a well-stocked grocery store and three restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Tamarindo — restaurants, bars, surf shops, tour operators — is a 2-minute drive. Tamarindo is just over an 1 hour away from the Liberia Airport, you can arrange shuttles or car rentals through us with special prices and discounts.
