Completely walled and hedged in for privacy, Shelby Sands is like checking in to your own private Palm Springs resort compound! The pool, spa and covered lounge patio, plus many of the interior rooms, have gorgeous views of the San Jacinto Mountains to the West. Once you’re situated, you may never want to leave, except perhaps to check out the nearby restaurants and bars, just a block or two way.
When you walk through the gate from the driveway or street, you’re immediately welcomed into a very spacious courtyard featuring a pool and spa with spillover feature and a tanning shelf. Adjacent to the pool is a large covered patio with lots of lounge seating and a dining table for six with umbrella, plus a barbecue grill. There’s also an elevated fire pit with lounge seating. You’ll want to spend all your time poolside at Shelby Sands!
The 3 bedroom with 2 bathroom home is stylishly furnished inside with Danish Modern and other midcentury and contemporary modern décor. There is great separation of bedrooms for added privacy. The master bedroom with King bed and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower is at one end of the house. And the two guest bedrooms, one with a King bed and one with a Queen bed, plus the guest bathroom with dual sinks and tub shower, are at the other end of the house. The comfortable living room with fireplace, HDTV and dining room for six sits in the middle of the house, where everyone can gather when desired. And the fully stocked kitchen is ready for all your meal and cocktail preparations as needed.
Located on a spacious corner lot, and stylishly tucked away in the desirable Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood of South Palm Springs, Shelby Sands is a short walk to many popular shops, restaurants, resorts and hot spots, as well as the Chabad of Palm Springs. And for the adventurous types, also within walking distance are some popular hiking trail heads and a bike rental shop. And it’s a very short drive or easy bike ride or BUZZ Bus ride to all the action that downtown Palm Springs has to offer.
