It’s a setting that’s exemplary of the rugged, Colorado Rockies character you’re looking for, but with easy access to every possible convenience.
It’s just what you picture when you dream of that family vacation in the mountains of Colorado: a two-story wooden “chalet” embraced by wide, indulgent decks on both levels, snuggled into the slope of a hill and surrounded by fresh native pines.
In typical “mountain house” style, the main living level is on the upper floor. An exterior staircase will take you to the second-level deck where you can enter into the bright, welcoming, open concept living area. This is a space that offers the coziness of being indoors, but in full celebration of the surrounding outdoors. You’ll immediately notice that one wall is dominated by windows all the way to the peak of the ceiling, providing a stunning mountain view and giving the sense that you’re hidden away in your own private treehouse. With windows on three walls of this room, it’s flooded with cheering daylight.
Exhale and relax into the casual elegance of the sitting area: a circle of two chairs and a sofa situated near a sliding glass door leading to the deck. On the opposite side of the room, and a dining table with seating for six stands near the hearth. The indoor fireplace has electric, glowing logs that even provide heat for a faux fireside dinner on a chilly evening. From here, you’ll have an unobstructed view straight into the bright, upbeat kitchen where you’ll have everything you need to cook from the heart for your loved ones, including a full-size range/oven, French door refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, a double-basin sink, coffee maker, tea kettle and cooking utensils. There’s plenty of counter space and cabinets.
On this level you’ll also find two bedrooms and one bath. Each bedroom with an elegant four-poster queen bed and closet. One of these bedrooms has a desk for a workspace. The smaller bedroom is a treat with a queen-size four-poster bed, and closet. The full bathroom places the toilet and shower/tub combo behind its own door, thoughtfully providing privacy while another guest may use the sink and vanity area just outside.
Behind a barn-style safety gate, you’ll discover a spiral staircase leading downstairs to yet another large living space, this one with a TV, two loveseats, and a fabulous two-person chaise lounge -- a great space for kids to unwind while adults relax in the upstairs living room. The electric fireplace down here also provides a luminous glow and heat for family game time!
The lower level is home to an additional two bedrooms and one bath, plus a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
One downstairs bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, a closet and additional clothing storage. In this bedroom, you’ll find an additional office nook recessed into the wall with a plenty of work surface and shelving above. The second bedroom on this level includes a set of bunk beds, full-size on the bottom and a twin on top with a built-in dresser.
The downstairs bathroom is pleasant and contemporary with a shower/tub combo.
You have your choice of spaces to enjoy the fresh mountain air that comes free with your stay. The upstairs deck features views, an L-shaped outdoor sofa. The downstairs deck is furnished with a table for four, chairs and ottomans, and a romantic white porch swing.
Around the side of the house in a grove of pines, you’ll also find a picnic table, maybe for a little quiet time for two.

We will send you detailed instructions no less than 48 hours prior to your arrival after you complete our verification portal. You will have privacy and access to the entire house using your special code given upon booking. Front door has a digital smart lock.
We recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We’re happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you’d like to use public transportation.
AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 21 years old. We cannot accommodate guests who do not meet this age requirement unless prior approval has been granted by us before check-in.
-We do not have onsite maintenance or cleaning unlike hotels but all requests will be taken care of ASAP.
-The indoor fireplaces are electric only and not for wood burning.
-The grill and fire table has been removed for insurance purposes and it being a fire hazard.
-Although the home doesn’t have central AC our evenings are generally cool in the summer time, simply opening the windows will provide natural coolness.
-Please review the sleeping arrangements prior to booking.
-Please keep all trash secure in the bins. Do not leave any trash out overnight for your safety and the surrounding active wildlife in the city’s area.
-The TV’s offer streaming services only for guest’s to use their subscriptions. Just don’t forget to log out!
Last, it’s your vacation, so you probably don’t want a lot of RULES. So think of these more as our strong requests:
- NO SMOKING inside. This includes Colorado’s newest cash crop.
- We provide fresh sheets, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and essentials like shampoo, soap, toilet paper etc.
- Quiet Hours begin at 10:00pm per city ordinance. Please be courteous of the neighbors during your stay.
- We cannot guarantee an early check-in, as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please check with us on the day of your arrival to see if the property will be ready early.
Dog Policy:
-This house is dog friendly, Please be respectful of those who will stay after you by cleaning up all pet waste and disposing of it in the large trash bins. Thank you in advance!
* Dogs are welcome for an additional fee ($75 per dog). 3 dogs max. All dogs must be approved before check-in. No other animals are permitted unless they are Certified service animals. There are no charges for service animals.
Non-Refundable Damage Deposit Waiver:
- Instead of charging a security deposit, We charge a non-refundable damage waiver fee (See Rental Agreement for a detailed breakdown of our guest fees) that covers up to $2,500 for damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of your acts or omissions. Please see house rules or the rental property agreement when you book for more information about how the damage waiver works. Because the damage waver fee is Non-Refundable; If a Guest changes properties for any reason they may be charged a new damage waver fee for the new property at the discretion of the property Manager.
Please be advised that we ask all guests to complete our secure, online guest verification portal after your reservation is created. Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and credit card to verify identity. This is used to prevent fraudulent reservations, identity verification and for the safety of all guests and homes. We take data security very seriously. All information entered into this form is encrypted and transmitted securely over SSL.
