Marston Park is a playground for creativity, framed by ancient woodland and located between Frome and Bruton. Enjoy an enchanting stay in 76 acres around our stunning lake framed by ancient woodland. ’Futuro House’ is our most unique individual unit which comes fully furnished and positioned directly around the Victorian lake edge, so that you have your own private little patch of England.
The iconic Futuro House was dreamt up by Finnish architect, Matti Suuronen, as a rural holiday retreat. Commercially launched in 1968, the Futuro House encapsulated the 60s pop culture zeitgeist in architecture, something rarely seen elsewhere in the world. The world went crazy for the Futuro House but only a few people bought them and only 68 are known to still exist worldwide today.
The Futuro’s stunning space-age interior is instantly inviting. It has a flexible living space – complete with an equipped, bathroom and shower, vintage lighting, round table and reclining chairs upholstered in a mustard colour – plus two cosy, curtained-off sleeping cabins featuring a double and single beds. It comes with its own private facilities, set in a leafy glade with lake views. The Futuro House can comfortably accommodate 5 guests, with 3 guests across the two sleeping cabins and the additional two guests on the reclining chairs which double up as single sofa beds. The Futuro also has a -compact kitchenette equipped with microwave oven, fridge & stove allowing you to prepare meals.
Enjoy inclusive:
- Bathrobes, linen and towels
- Speakers and mood lighting
- Tea & coffee making facilities
- Outdoor seating with a fire pit.
Also on site is a spa & wellness centre with hot tub & sauna which is bookable at an additional charge, as well as a bar and the newest addition - Hakko House, an exquisite Japanese restaurant.
A booking allows access to the landscape and facilities including the bar, restaurant and café when open in the summer on weekends.
Everything on site is accessible via foot - however we do recommend a car to explore the surrounding area.
Please note the wild pool is complimentary if staying on site with us.
Please note there is a fire pit next to your tent and communal fire pits near the bar but any other fires, BBQs and camping stoves are not permitted anywhere on the site, due to its wooded nature.
Please note there is often music until our bar closes and we are a fairly grown up place.
Please note that sadly swimming is not permitted in the lake however we do have our Wild Pool and Wood Fired Hot Tub (on weekends).
Sadly we do not currently offer wifi at the Park.
