With the options for scenic strolls along the nearby Thames Path, plus a host of picture-postcard pubs and London’s most historic football stadium, there’s plenty of reason to stay put — though exploring is easy too, with Putney Bridge and Parsons Green Tube stations on the doorstep.

Wood surfaces and swathes of glass give the open-plan kitchen and dining area an airy, Scandi feel.
