The magnificent setting features the gentle rolling hills and fragrant wine country for which Tuscany is so famous. Set on a private Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot vineyard, Fattoria Sardi Wine Resort features the most iconic panoramic country scenes of Tuscany.
The units have been renovated in late 2022 with an eye to traditional style and touches of quiet luxury. Your vacation can be as relaxing or active as you like. Stroll the grounds and explore the estate, take a swim in the pool, cook up produce from the local market or treat yourself discovering the secrets of wine making through the cellars of the winery. If you’d rather just unwind, you can sunbathe on the shared lawn by the pool or hide yourself to sip literally home grown wine in your private hidden corner of paradise: each unit has ist own private garden fully furnished with outdoor equipments.
A true Tuscan experience wouldn’t be complete without a trip into town. Luckily, it’s only a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from Fattoria Sardi Wine Resort to the town of Lucca, where you’ll find grocery stores, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and world class monuments. Take a day trip to Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi or Lido di Camaiore beaches, just 20 minutes away from the resort; to Florence or to the famous Cinque Terre site, 1 hour drive away, to Pisa just 25 minute drive away, to Pietrasanta, Pistoia, Montecatini Terme, Montecarlo, Barga, Bolgheri, Livorno all in just a 30 minutes drive away. Pack your clubs for a round at the golf course, 10 minutes away. It’s an easy 30-minute drive to or from the nearest airport, in Pisa while the Florence airport is just 35 minutes away.
In January 2022 a small gourmet restaurant has been opened on the estate by the wine cellar (out of the resort grounds) where you will be able to try a culinary experience lead by the innovative chef Damiano Donati. dining tables setted in the farm courtyard by the grape trees, soft lights, dreamy local seasonal food and a fairytale atmosphere are just some of the details of an unforgettable experience there.

About the area
Lucca, Italy, is a captivating city that embodies the quintessential charm of Tuscany. Enclosed by well-preserved Renaissance walls that have been transformed into a pedestrian promenade, the city invites visitors to step back in time and explore its historical treasures at a leisurely pace.
The heart of Lucca is its old town, a labyrinth of cobblestone streets, picturesque piazzas, and elegant buildings. The Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a unique elliptical square, is a highlight, built on the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheater. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the piazza, which is lined with cafes and shops, perfect for sipping a cappuccino and people-watching.
Lucca's rich history is showcased in its numerous churches, the most famous being the San Michele in Foro with its stunning façade and the Lucca Cathedral (Duomo di San Martino), which houses remarkable artworks and the revered Volto Santo di Lucca, a wooden crucifix. The city's religious heritage is further celebrated during the Luminara di Santa Croce festival, where Lucca is illuminated by thousands of candles in a breathtaking display.
For those with a taste for adventure, climbing the Guinigi Tower offers a rewarding experience. The tower is notable for the ancient oak trees growing atop its roof, providing a unique vantage point over the city and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Music enthusiasts will find Lucca especially endearing as it is the birthplace of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini. The Puccini Museum, located in his childhood home, is a pilgrimage site for opera lovers, and the city hosts an annual summer festival celebrating his works.
Beyond its historical and cultural offerings, Lucca is also a gateway to the Tuscan landscape, with opportunities for cycling and hiking along the Serchio River or through the nearby hills. The city's culinary scene is equally enticing, featuring traditional Tuscan cuisine, fine wines, and local specialties like Buccellato, a sweet bread that is a Lucca staple.
Lucca's blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, combined with its relaxed atmosphere and friendly locals, makes it a destination that offers a truly authentic Italian experience. Whether you're seeking to immerse yourself in history, enjoy the arts, or simply indulge in the pleasures of Italian life, Lucca is a city that will capture your heart and leave you longing to return.
