Payment and Cancellation - 60 Day Policy

Grace Period:

  • Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation request, and (2) reservation request was made 11 days before arrival.

Payment Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
  • For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.

House Rules

  • Pool:
  • 1. This home has a swimming pool with a depth of 4 feet.
  • 2. No diving into the pool is permitted.
  • 3. The county of Kauai has a requires homes with a swimming pool to be fitted with audible Child Safety door alarms. For child safety, Guest shall ensure the switch at the top of each sliding glass door alarm, remain in the “on position”.
  • 4. Guest assumes risk of injury to self and those in party when using the pool.
  • 5. All children must be supervised when they are in the swimming pool.
  • 6. Pool lights are programmed to illuminate at dusk and go off at 9 pm.
  • 7. Guests shall not tamper with pool equipment in the soundbox or on electronic wall box
  • 8. Guest may use the skimming tool.
  • 9. Pool and landscape maintenance is performed on a weekly basis and requires access to the back yard. (I would prefer not to pin down an exact day of the week, as it could easily shift due to rain. Tom does his best to get in and out while guests are away.)
  • Neighborhood HOA Rules:
  • 1. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am. Kauai County Noise Ordinance does not permit excessive noise (noise above 70 Db) at any time. Any HOA fines related to noise will be doubled.
  • 2. Cars may park on the driveway. No cars may park on the street.
  • 3. Speed limit is 20 mph.
  • 4. Towels, clothing, beach chairs, ice chests and other beach or recreational gear must be stored out of sight from the street view or the view of other neighbors.
  • 5. The individual who booked the reservation is financially responsible for adhering to the above rules of the HOA. In the event that a complaint is filed against anyone in this reservation or their guest, the credit card on file for this reservation will be charged. HOA charges range from $300 to $500 and are DOUBLED for noise violations.
