Payment and Cancellation - 60 Day Policy

Grace Period:

  • Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation request, and (2) reservation request was made at least 10 days before arrival.

Payment Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
  • For guests paying with points: 100% of payment will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.

House Rules

  • If you are not familiar with Kauai soil or “Red Dirt”, it does stain clothes and carpets - forever - and is almost impossible to remove once tracked in. Please make sure that before you enter the home your shoes are removed and any red dirt on your feet are cleaned. Removing shoes upon entering a home is a custom in Hawaii.
  • SAND:
  • Sand is extremely sticky! In order to avoid tracking in unwanted sand, please shake out all of your towels and sandy clothes before coming back inside. Beach sand collects very easily in bathing suites and a great deal of it can be emptied into the plumbing system. Sand going down bathroom drains is extremely hard on the drainage system, so please do everything possible to remove sand before entering the home from legs and feet.
  • The community is governed by an extensive set of CCRs and Rules that apply to ALL persons within the community. As such, these CCRs and Rules apply to you. Violations of community rules may result in a monetary assessment. We ask that you follow these rules to make your stay more enjoyable and to help maintain the tranquility of our village.
  • 1. Quiet Hours / Noise: Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am. Few homes in the community are airconditioned and residents generally maintain open windows and doors. Courtesy in limiting noise that disturbs the tranquility of our Village is always expected. Police will respond to complaints.
  • 2. Parking: Vehicles may not be parked overnight in the street. No parking is allowed in the first 10' off the street on any lot or paved storm drain area. Violators may be towed at renter’s expense.
  • 3. Speed Limit: Vehicles within the Community must not exceed the 15 MPH speed limit at any time.
  • 4. Trash Day: The County provides trash pickup on Thursdays, generally before sun up. The county utilizes automated trash trucks and ONLY County of Kauai trash bins are emptied. Trash is to be put out street side Wednesday. All trash cans, empty or not, must be removed by the end of the day on Thursday. [not applicable for some homes with private trash pick-up]. Do not place recyclables, non-county trash cans, boxes, or plastic trash bags curb side.
  • 5. Towels - Clothing - Beach Gear: Clothing, towels, beach chairs, surfboards, ice chests, etc. may not be hung on balconies or left on patios or lawns where they are visible from the street or neighboring properties.
  • 6. Prohibited Activities: Homes may not be utilized for weddings, receptions, commercial activities, payto-attend events/seminars/classes.
  • 7. Golf Course: The Kiahuna Golf Course is private property. Walking, jogging, or traversing golf course in any way is not allowed and is considered trespassing. Please utilize the public entrance to enjoy this facility.
  • 8. Archaeological Site: The ancient Hawaiian Archaeological Preserve in the middle of the village is a sensitive historic site. Visitors must be accompanied by a curator.
