The apartment with fitness area is located on the ground floor of a 17th century palazzo on via della Vetrina, just steps away from Piazza Navona.
The apartment is a veritable architectural gem that, thanks to careful renovation, has maintained the structural elements from the 17th century contrasting with modern materials like glass and steel. Five metre high ceilings with stunning vaults in the living room and bedrooms, as well as an original spiral staircase in roman brick which provides another access for the lower floor, serve as testimony to the ancient past of this palazzo.
Ancient elements are highlighted with the integration of modern elements in glass and steel, used in the cantilevered mezzanine in the master bedroom, furnishings, sleek design heating elements and LED light fixtures to illuminate the vaults in the ceiling.
The original walls of the house are very thick and guarantee a calibrated temperature in the winter and cool in the summer. In any case, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning.
Let’s look in details how the apartment is organized. You’re welcomed into a large living room divided into a living room and a dining space. In the living room there is a sofa bed, where you can relax with a 40” flat screen Sony TV. There is a modern kitchen in colored glass in the dining area, with cabinets and drawers with sleek hidden opening mechanisms, and a large dining table to host all the guests in your party.
The first bedroom off the living room has a queen bed.
We continue from the living room and find the first of three baths in the house, with a tub and prune colored walls.
Further ahead is the master bedroom, with a double bed and bath ensuite. The closets were custom made recalling the curvature of the vaults in the ceiling. The bath ensuite features a shower with a large rainshower.
In the corner of the master bedroom you’ll find the spiral staircase from the 17th century that provides access to the mezzanine crafted in glass and runs along the perimetre of the room. In the mezzanine, there is a single bed and a closet with the same curved design.
Now we’ll take the spiral stairs down from the ground floor to the finished basement. Here you’ll find a real treat. A real fitness area with Technogym treadmill and dumbbells of different weight. After each session, you can relax on the loungers and enjoy some tea made with the kit you’ll find in the bedroom next door. We sure you will be tempted to stay here and relax instead of visiting the city!
Next to the wellness room is another spacious bedroom with a comfortable sauna for 2 persons, a jacuzzi TV and bath ensuite with a shower. From this room, there is another, larger staircase that leads to the living room.
There is a courtyard garden off the living room, with outdoor seating and an electric sun shade to offer privacy from the floors above. Lush ivy climbs the walls of the garden, providing refreshment to hot summer days.
The garden is well situated between buildings, which guarantees a very quiet and peaceful environment to relax after spending the day on the chaotic and noisy streets of Rome.
Every detail of this vacation home has been crafted to provide our guests with comfort and quality: from the sleek LED lights to the piped stereo system throughout the house (including the bath!), from the memory foam mattresses to the washing machine, dishwasher and complimentary Wi-Fi internet.
