Villa la Madonnina has unique characteristics. Romantically secluded but close to the elegant Amalfi and Positano amenities, access from the road, with parking lot, sleeps 6 persons. Boxspring beds in 5* Hotel quality.
For all seasons, with air condition and heating. Wide and open spaces with 2100 square feet (205 m2) indoors and large terraces 2400 square feet (240 m2). This allows each individual to find his or her own “refuge”.
From the parking place you reach the villa by walking down a few steps, passing a small garden – then you are on the upper- the hibiscus terrace - with a marble table and two hanging chairs, perfect for reading your favorite book. From here you enter the living area, which is one floor down.
The large main terrace in front of the villa has a dining table and a lounge area, which are both protected by a roof. Deck chairs invite you to take a sunbath. There is also an outdoor shower.
Located on the same level as the main terrace, but separated by a wall of plants there is a freshwater swimming pool (10 x 3.5 m, 32 x 11 ft.). It is long enough to swim properly. The water is purified by Ozone: great for the skin and no chlorine smell.
Open: from April through October.
A paved path under lemon trees leads you down to sea level. There are two private platforms with deck chairs; one has a sunroof, the other has a fresh water shower.
Swimming in the sea in front of Villa la Madonnina is like swimming in a huge amphitheater surrounded by high cliffs. If you enjoy snorkeling you will be able to see a great variety of Mediterranean fish. A water taxi can pick you up there or you start an excursion along the wonderful coast to Capri with a rented motor boat or yacht.
The loggia is positioned in front of the living room like an eagle’s nest. We like to have here breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening, listening to the sea, observing the lights of Praiano and sharing the adventures of the day. Very romantic! As the loggia is roofed you can even stay outside even when it rains.
Seagulls roam the coast and up in the rocks hawks are looking for their prey. Watch how the colours of the sea change from turquoise close to the beach to dark blue in the deeper water.
Furnished as an upscale family home with amphoras, original paintings and sculptures. The hallway is a rock carving masterpiece. The living space is all on one level. The main living room is spacious with a large dining table, a game table and a seating area. The second living room is very cosy with an antique fireplace. There you also find the Tv with channels in English and other languages. Enjoy the CDs with local musicians.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped with everything necessary to transform the excellent ingredients available at the coast into a wonderful meal. You find a gas stove, an electric oven, an American coffee machine, Nespresso machine, old-fashioned Italian coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, a large modern fridge, dish washer, washing machine and dryer.
To accompany your meal, you can choose from the selection of good local wines from our small wine collection (payable at the end of the vacation).
The hallway carved out of the rock leads to the three bed rooms.
The three bedrooms (one twin and two double) have air conditioning, ample storage space and are individually furnished. Luxury hotel quality boxspring beds help you to relax. There you find paintings from local artists. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom with shower, bidet and hair dryer. All bedrooms have a sea view. The sound of the sea will lull you into your dreams.
Close by in walking distance are 5 good restaurants in the romantic valley Marina di Praia. One of them arguably the most beautiful restaurant of the whole coast: Il Pirata. See photo.
If you cause damage to the property during your stay, you may be required to pay according to Property Manager’s property damage policy.
