Nestled in the hillside behind the village of Sumartin on the island of Brac sits Villa Podelina. This four-bedroom villa, set over two floors, can comfortably sleep up to ten guests. The living areas on the first floor allow guests easy access to the private swimming pool and make the most of the stunning countryside views.
Guests enter the home from the first floor, walking past the infinity pool and towards the main house. The vaulted ceilings of the open-plan space make the room feel bright and spacious. To the side you will find the living area. The large sliding doors allow guests to enjoy indoor-outdoor living and maximise the views from the terrace.
The other side of the open-plan space is home to the dining area and kitchen. Seating six guests at the dining table plus a further four at the breakfast bar, there is space for everyone to dine in style. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to cook a feast for your loved ones.
Off the living area, you will find the first of the four bedrooms. Benefitting from sliding doors out to the terrace and its own en-suite bathroom, this bedroom boasts a queen-size bed. The remaining bedrooms are on the ground floor, and all enjoy sliding doors onto the terrace. Two of the bedrooms are home to further queen-size beds and offer modern en-suite bathrooms. The final bedroom has two bunk beds and has use of a good-sized family shower room on this floor. This bedroom can sleep up to four guests and would suit any younger children in the group.
Outside, you will find the private infinity pool and a spacious upper terrace. Sun loungers line the pool, allowing adults to relax while the kids splash around in the pool. The terrace extends towards the house, where you will find an outdoor dining area covered with a pergola, providing much-needed relief from the heat of the sun. On the lower terrace, kids will be pleased to know that there is a trampoline that will provide hours of entertainment. Just in front of Villa Podelina is a gorgeous olive grove and small vegetable patch, where guests can pick their homegrown vegetables when in season, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and more.

Location:
Villa Podelina is located outside the town of Sumartin on the eastern coast of Brac. Most easily accessed from the mainland via a ferry to Makarska, Sumartin is a small town with a rich history and has now become a popular tourist spot.
Sumartin was established in the 17th Century, and even today, the Franciscan monastery still stands. There is now a neighbouring museum where you can learn more about the history of the island. Sumartin is also home to a number of convenient amenities, including supermarkets, bars and restaurants, all serving a range of foods and cuisines to suit all taste buds.
The island of Brac has been a popular holiday spot for several years, offering an island oasis for those who journey here. The island is most commonly accessed from Split Airport via a ferry to Supetar on the island’s north coast. Supetar is Brac’s largest town and offers a horseshoe-shaped beach and a great spot to stock up on supplies before heading to your villa. Small towns and villages dotted around the island are wonderful places to explore in the evenings as you head out for dinner.
Many of the beaches on Brac are pebbly or rocky, but there are a few sandy spots. Zlatni Rat, or Golden Horn as it is known, is a spit located on the southern coast of Brac near Bol. The beach is largely pebble but is thought to be one of the best beaches in Croatia, and its unique shape makes it popular with tourists.
