Moose’s River Crossing (formerly White Tail River Cabin) is located just a few yards away from the prestigious Elk River and 3 miles from downtown Banner Elk! This beautiful 2 bedroom cabin is perfect for a small family getaway or romantic escape to the High Country!
The main level living area features hardwood floors, a gas-log fireplace, and flat screen TV. Just behind the living room is the fully-equipped kitchen with an island, stainless appliances, Keurig coffee maker, and all of the utensils you need to prepare a delicious meal! There is a dining table that sits 4 people and 3 bar stools at the island. Also on the lower level is a powder bathroom featuring granite counters and a tile shower, and a laundry room across the hall. Just off the side of the kitchen, step outside onto the covered patio and enjoy your meal at the table with enough room for your group! There is a gas grill for guests to use as well.
Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms and 1 shared bath. The spacious Master bedroom has a king bed and additional seating space in front of the TV. The second bedroom has a full sized bed. Both bedrooms have flat screen TV’s for your enjoyment. Across the hall is the shared bathroom with a tiled tub/shower.
When staying at Moose’s River Crossing, guests will enjoy access to most amenities inside of Eagles Nest as well as the River Club amenities. Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, the Wine & Cigar Bar, or The River Club Lodge. These areas require a membership and are not available for guests.

Community fire pit next to the river. Firewood ordered will be delivered to the home, not to the fire pit. The home does not have a private fire pit or woodburning device.

Additional Notes:
- Fishing in the Elk River is catch and release only using artificial bait with barbless hooks. All anglers must have a valid NC fishing license on their person anytime they are fishing.
- This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home.
- Please note that there is no land-line phone in this cabin.
- There is an additional $35 per night amenity fee (max $175) in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)
- The summer concerts are open to all guests however there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.
- All linens and towels are provided for your stay.
- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATV’s. For information about ATV rentals please visit: offroadadventuresnc.com.
- Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
-Cancellation Policy STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.
