The Space
Bathed in sunlight, Polyphemos apartment looks nothing like the one-eyed giant’s cave described in Homer’s Odyssey. As you enter the apartment the vibrant light of the blue Athenian sky pouring in from the large glass balcony doors will give you a heartwarming and uplifting welcome.
All rooms are minimally decorated with earthy tones, classy light fixtures and funky paintings. Flat smart TVs (Netflix ready), air conditioners, big closets and modern devices are placed in each room and in combination with the brand new furniture and soft mattresses guarantee to add comfort and functionality to your stay.
The apartment’s corner balcony is accessible from both bedrooms as well as from the living room through wide glass doors. Kaisariani is a family-friendly neighborhood situated around a 30-minute walk from Syntagma square, Panathenaic Stadium and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Away from the city center’s hustle and bustle, yet close to all main attractions, this quiet area is ideal from those aiming to get a proper taste of local life in Athens. Adjacent to Pagrati, an upcoming neighborhood with a vibrant nightlife, Kaisariani is surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. The area’s trademark is Skopeftirio Grove, a 14-acre urban park painted with cobblestoned alleys, pine trees, firs and cypresses, ideal for a relaxing walk or an outdoor picnic. A shooting range during World War II, the area was transformed into a park featuring playgrounds, an open-air cinema and a cozy cafe in 1984. A memorial built in honor of the victims of the German occupation stands in the heart of the park bearing testimony to the place’s historical significance.
