With 5 bedrooms and 5 and ½ bathrooms, this 2-story classic can easily sleep 13 quite comfortably in coastal comfort. Open and inviting, the main level features a modern kitchen ready, willing and able to be the scene of memorable family feasts. Fully- stocked with cookware, dinnerware, new appliances and plenty of work and storage space all served up with a large island with counter seating, the heart and soul of this home will be a popular gathering spot for sure. A large dining table has plenty of room for sit-down meals, and a wet bar and powder room offers guest conveniences not to be missed. Expansive and open with high ceilings and a gracious welcoming feel, the main level stretches on to include the family room with comfy sofa and seating and a 60” wall-mounted flatscreen TV.
Pinkie peeked in the master suite in the back corner of the house on the first floor and was delighted to find a walk-in glass shower, soaking tub, double vanities and a huge closet. Nice! Having at least one bedroom down was always an asset for those traveling with someone who did not do stairs. Sweet Haven actually has 3 King bedrooms...all on the first floor!
Screen porches used to found at every turn in the South but nowadays were pretty rare. “I have always liked a screen porch because I do NOT like bugs,” said Pinkie as she admired the ample one on the back of Sweet Haven. “It really offers another vignette for gathering and dining all while overlooking the pool.” Outdoor ambient landscape lighting was another of Pinkie’s favorite things and the transformative effect on the poolscape was amazing. “It feels like a resort!”
Upstairs she discovered another King bedroom plus a fabulous huge lounge/media room with 2 sets of twin bunks and a daybed. “What a great kids’ hangout!” A large sectional sofa made the room quite cozy and Pinkie could see this being a big hit with teens too. Nestled on a corner lot on a quiet street just 8 min from the beach, Sweet Haven is sure to be your family’s favorite go-to vacation spot. With parking for 5-6 vehicles plus garage access, there would be no concerns about parking as there usually was near the beach.
Maybe it’s time to stop looking and time to start booking!

About the area
The Florida Panhandle, with its sugar-white beaches and emerald green waters, offers a slice of coastal paradise that is hard to resist. Stretching from Pensacola to Apalachicola, this region boasts some of the most beautiful shorelines in the United States, making it a haven for beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts alike.
Destin, often referred to as the "world's luckiest fishing village," is a prime spot for anglers and those who enjoy fresh seafood. The city's fishing fleet is one of the largest in Florida, and the annual Destin Fishing Rodeo draws competitors from all over. For families, the Destin Harbor Boardwalk is a hub of activity with restaurants, shops, and attractions like zip lines and dolphin cruises.
The Panhandle is also home to several state parks and natural preserves, such as St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, where visitors can hike, snorkel, and spot wildlife. The nearby Gulf Islands National Seashore offers pristine beaches, historic forts, and nature trails.
For a dose of culture and history, the capital city of Tallahassee provides a wealth of museums, art galleries, and historic sites, including the Florida State Capitol building and the Museum of Florida History. The city's canopy roads, draped with Spanish moss, offer a picturesque drive through old Florida landscapes.
Pensacola, the westernmost city in the Panhandle, is rich in history with its Historic Pensacola Village and the Pensacola Naval Air Station, home to the famous Blue Angels flight demonstration team. The National Naval Aviation Museum is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts.
The Panhandle's smaller beach communities, such as Seaside and Rosemary Beach, are known for their New Urbanism design, offering charming town centers, outdoor events, and family-friendly atmospheres. These communities often feature outdoor concerts, farmers' markets, and film festivals, providing entertainment beyond the beach.
For those seeking a more secluded experience, the Forgotten Coast near Apalachicola offers a quieter, more laid-back vibe. Here, visitors can explore the unspoiled beaches of St. George Island, taste world-famous Apalachicola oysters, and discover the charm of small coastal towns.
Whether it's lounging on the beach, exploring the great outdoors, or delving into the region's history and culture, the Florida Panhandle caters to a diverse array of interests, making it a compelling destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.
