Ocean-View Home with Private Pool, Hot Tub, & Pool House - Steps From Beach Close your eyes and picture the perfect beach house. Okay, open them: you’ve found it. Each room in this spacious, three-bedroom home is thoughtfully furnished and decorated with color and comfort in mind. Wake up with a cup of coffee on one of three decks, deciding how to spend the day. If you’re an early riser, take that cup to go and walk toward sunrise on the sure to be empty beach or just grab a seat on the back deck facing the rising sun. Take the 11 minute (0.6 mile) walk or 1 minute drive to the quaint local restaurant, Shipwrecked for a western omelet and a great cup of joe. Cooking at the house is a treat with the enormous, updated and fully-equipped kitchen features counter space and cabinets for days, with a bright blue island and playful floor tile to make the space pop. The stainless-steel appliances and all the necessary gadgets mean mealtime will be a treat. When it’s time to eat, the adjacent dining room seats eight, with room for another two at the island bar. If you look hard, you’ll even find an ice cream maker for a memorable experience of making your own ice cream with the kids or kids at heart! Now, about that back yard – head outside and downstairs to your in-ground pool and call dibs one of the chaise lounges.
Don’t feel like going all the way back to the house for a cold beverage? No problem – stash a few in the fridge in the separate pool house, which also features a half bathroom, 55” Roku TV and sofa that opens to a full bed. Hook your phone up to the Knox gear speaker system to kick it up a notch. Use the TV to watch game day or set up a ‘dive-in’ movie theater at night for the kids. If you decide to leave your oasis, the beach is just across the street so you can easily return to the home for lunch or anything you forgot. The hot tub is a perfect edition to the retreat and perfectly designed to allow either views of the beach and sunset while you soak or privacy for full meditation. The beach is special here and unlike anything up and down the coast. Your feet will touch sand within about 150 steps from the front door. The water is protected by Cape San Blas and thus is typically calm and quiet. The area is affectionately referred to as ‘The Forgotten Coast’ and you’ll see why as soon as you step on the beach and notice you don’t have to walk a mile to find an open area to set up your chairs. The beach is quiet and peaceful. It stays shallow and is usually but not always and definitely not guaranteed (it is still the Gulf), pretty tame waves which is perfect for younger kids and parents. The beach is friendly to fishermen so bring your pole! Walking back from the beach you’ll use the rinse off area on the side of the house or a full pool shower at the back of the pool house to remove all the sand, salt and sunblock from the day (and please get rinsed good before getting into the pool or hot tub). Outdoor propane grill is waiting for those burgers while the family takes in sunset views from all the decks. The best way to watch the sun slip beneath the horizon is back in the hot tub. After a day of enjoying the outdoors and a good soak, retire back to the living room or one of three bedrooms downstairs, all equally as colorful and modern as the shared living space. Head upstairs for more relaxation. Lots of comfortable couches and a flatscreen 65” Roku TV await in the living room and, if it&;s a bit chilly outside, turn on the gas fireplace for an extra touch of coziness. Connect your phone to the Bose stereo to set the mood. Bring a few buckets, nets and flashlights to hunt for some ghost crabs after the sun goes down. The kids will never forget this experience. (just have to be lights out by 9pm during turtle nesting season) You&;ve had the perfect vacation day – with another one on tap for tomorrow.
