Set in the sun-drenched hills above Calheta, an old barn has been transformed into this new contemporary modern and chic 3-bed air-conditioned villa, with everything you may want for a great family holiday.
Built to high standards, and very well furnished in a modern style, it features a great open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen with large sliding glass doors that transforms it into an indoor/outdoor social area that encompasses outdoor dining and barbecue, large swimming pool, deck and garden, with lovely views over the countryside and to the sea.
The optionally heated pool is set in the garden with a surrounding deck with sun-beds and is surrounded by a high traditional stone wall.
The electric gate opens up to a carport, sufficient for 2 cars. Off the main door is the ground floor bedroom and stairs lead up to the main living area, where there are a further two bedrooms. All bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and air-conditioning.
A bread van passes daily with a lovely selection of fresh bread, and an easily walk-able 270m (or even shorter via a pathway) will bring you to a local snack-bar and mini-market, perfect for those day to day essentials.
A pharmacy and café/mini-market is less than 800m below and the resort of Calheta, with its beach, branded supermarket, bank and chemist is a short 5 Km drive away. There are a selection of restaurants around the Calheta area.
Funchal is an easy 40 minute drive away, and access to the Madeira mountains and countryside is easy.
There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.

Swimming pool heating:
Pool heating is optional and costs 140,00€ per week for 24ºC, paid in cash on arrival.
A supplement of 30,00€ per week applies for each additional degree up to a maximum of 26ºC
Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy and supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time. For additional persons above the base occupancy, there is a supplement per person per week.
To secure your reservation, a deposit is required, or the full amount if within 8 weeks or arrival. Should you cancel up to 8 weeks prior to arrival only the deposit is non-refundable, and within this period the full amount.
A security deposit of 250€ is required by credit card prior to check in.
