Located inside the famed Beachwalk Resort in Michigan City, IN, The Lady May (formerly known as The Roses) is a three-story retreat made for memory-making. Big on space, long on comfort, and perfectly suited for multi-family vacations, reunions, or friend getaways, this home invites you to settle in, slow down, and stay awhile. With new ownership and planned winter 2026 renovations, The Lady May will be refreshed and ready to shine just in time for Spring 2026.
Inside the main home, you’ll find plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Multiple living spaces mean no fighting over the TV, while the fully equipped kitchen and generous dining area make meals together easy and fun. A wraparound screened-in porch is ideal for morning coffee or evening conversations, and the finished lower level adds even more hang-out space with a second living room, bar area, and games for all ages.
Need a little extra privacy? The separate guest house is a retreat all its own, complete with a kitchen, living room, full bathroom, and screened-in porch—perfect for quiet mornings, afternoon naps, or sunset sips.
Step outside and you’re in the heart of Beachwalk. Sip a cool drink while the kids play in Central Park just steps away, or explore the resort’s amenities at your leisure. Beachwalk Resort offers a seasonal heated pool and toddler pool, tennis, basketball, volleyball and bocce courts, shuffleboard, a putting green, the Sandcastle playground, and access to private Lake Kai for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. A seasonal golf cart is also included to make getting around a breeze.
Just over an hour from Chicago and a short walk to Lake Michigan’s Sheridan Beach, you’ll also be close to Indiana Dunes National Park, Washington Park and Zoo, Blue Chip Casino, Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets, local breweries and wineries, and the International Friendship Gardens—plenty to explore, whether you’re craving adventure or a leisurely day out.
Seasonal resort amenities are available mid-May through September. During this time, parking passes ($5 each) and wristbands ($15 each) are required for all guests ages 4 and up. The Lady May rents with a 7-night minimum during peak season (mid-June to mid-August), with Friday check-in and check-out.
