Surrounded by endless wilderness with glorious views, Salish Ridge Retreat immerses you in splendid mountain landscape. Enjoy incredible sunsets from the outdoor patio warmed by a beautiful native stone fire pit and encircled by native plantings, large fir trees and stone work. The home’s interior boasts a spacious and airy living space with a magnificent high ceiling finished in reclaimed lumber, and plenty of windows to bring the outside in. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own full bath with walk-in shower and furnishings made by local craftspeople. Plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax to take in the surrounding natural beauty, curl up with a good book in front of the fireplace and enjoy time with family and friends. Located on a private gravel road, mountain bike or hike right from the house.
In the summer, enjoy all the water-sports imaginable at Whitefish Lake, or any of the 100+ lakes & rivers within 100 miles, including Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Whitefish Mountain Resort also provides endless activities such as mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic chair or gondola rides (with Glacier National Park views). Speaking of Glacier National Park, it’s only 45 minutes away from Whitefish! Don’t miss the breathtaking Going-To-The-Sun road, Lake McDonald, and 70+day hikes! You’ll also want to take advantage of the Whitefish Trail system with 43 miles of hiking & biking trails, as well as great restaurants, art galleries, breweries, distilleries, a train museum, golf courses and local events such as Huckleberry Days, farmer’s markets, rodeos and Under the Big Sky music festival!
Getting around Whitefish and to Whitefish Mountain Resort is a breeze with the FREE snow bus! The snow bus is a free shuttle service during peak winter and summer seasons. There are stops all around town and on the mountain. Whitefish also has Uber, Lyft and Taxis. **This property is located outside of town so you’d need to drive to the nearest stop.**
