The Alighieri “C” is an elegant two bedrooms apartment with spectacular canal views, spacious sunny terrace, accessible by elevator. It is one of the four apartments comprising the whole top floor of an historical Palazzo found in the west side of Castello District, only a few minutes’ walk from San Marco Square. The building is accessible by private water taxi from the Marco Polo airport in only 20 minutes and it takes less than 5 minutes’ walk to reach the Vaporetto/Alilaguna (ferry boat) stop San Zaccaria, thus very central. In the surroundings there are lots of artisan and antique ateliers, local food shops and delicious osterie (traditional restaurants). Some of the cultural landmarks that can be found close by in Castello beside the well-known Arsenale and Biennale Gardens include Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, Church of San Giorgio dei Greci, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Church of San Zaccaria and many others. The entire property has been completely and luxuriously refurbished in 2013: an elevator has been installed, the original terrazzo flooring and art-deco inspired inlaid parquet renovated, frescoes and stuccoes brought back to the ancient splendour, the spacious terrace equipped with table, sunshade and sun chairs. The Alighieri “C” can be accessed from a very bright and elegant shared entrance hall giving on to the communal terraces. It has a living/dining room with stunning canal view overlooking Rio di San Lorenzo and a modern kitchen. There are two good size bedrooms (both can be prepared as king size bed or two singles on request) with two excellent bathrooms, offering total comfort and privacy to 4 guests. The Alighieri “C” shares the same communal terrace and great view of the other 3 apartments, maximizing the bedroom comfort while offering less living room space compared to Alighieri “B” and “D”. All four apartments can be rented together for groups of up to 14 people, just directly book the Palazzo Alighieri. Additional Rules & Information • A €400 security deposit is required by credit card at check-in for all guests, except for bookings made via OTA. • Tourist Tax (€ 4 per person, per night) must be paid in cash at check-in for a maximum of 5 nights. Children aged 10–16 receive a 50% discount, while children under 10 are exempt. • The number of guests, including children, must not exceed the apartment’s maximum occupancy stated on the apartment page • Please inform us of your arrival time at least 4 days before check-in. • Standard check-in is available from 14:00 to 20:00. • Late check-in from 20:00 to 00:00 is available for an additional € 50 fee, payable in cash upon arrival. • Check-in from 00:00 to 01:00 is available for a € 80 check-in fee, payable in cash upon arrival. • No check-in is possible after 01:00 AM. • Check-out time is 10:00 AM. • Please contact us in advance if you would like to request an early luggage drop-off. • After your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an e-mail with our online check-in form. There, you can let us know your preferred bed setup (single or double beds). If no preference is selected, we’ll prepare the apartment according to the default setup shown on the form. • Pets are allowed only with prior approval from the owner and require an additional fee of € 80 per stay.
