Today, The Newport Apartments is a boutique apartment building of 46 delightful units. The moderate size of The Newport Apartments provides a more personal and inviting atmosphere than that of larger complexes, yet with all the amenities. The Newport Apartments is an historic building in the Rittenhouse-Fitler Historic District. There is an elevator that takes you right up to the 3rd Floor. TV comes with netflix, amazon prime and youtube TV. You may see the other airbnb listing as well. If you need more than one apartment, please ask!

The Newport is located in Rittenhouse Square / Center City Philadelphia. You are within walking distance to many coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Rival brothers coffee is right next door! One of the most famous belgium beer cafes, Monks, is directly across the street. Steps from the broad street subway line which takes you right down to the Stadiums and Venues. Rittenhouse Square is a neighborhood in Center City Philadelphia that surrounds Rittenhouse Square Park. Rittenhouse Square Park is one of the five original open space parks planned by William Penn and surveyor Thomas Holme in the late 1690’s. Originally named Southwest Square, the park was renamed in 1825 to honor David Rittenhouse, the first director of the United States Mint. In 1840, James Harper, a merchant and brick maker became the first person to construct a home on Rittenhouse Square at 1811 Walnut Street. By 1850 Rittenhouse Square become a popular residential district for the wealthy Victorian Aristocracy and many of the Victorian mansions erected in the mid 19th century still exist today. Rittenhouse Square remains a trendy, upscale neighborhood replete with residences and restaurants, bars, boutiques, schools and cultural venues. Rittenhouse Square neighborhood boundaries for real estate purposes are 22nd street to the West, Broad Street to the East, Market Street to the North and South Street to the South. The Rittenhouse neighborhood is also home to many cultural institutions, including the Curtis Institute of Music, The University of the Arts, the Ethical Society, the Philadelphia Art Alliance, the Rosenbach Museum & Library, and the Civil War and Underground Railroad Museum. Rittenhouse Square is also home to many works of public art.

Payment and Cancellation - 60 Day Policy

Grace Period:

  • Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation request, and (2) reservation request was made at least 10 days before arrival.

Payment Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
  • For guests paying with points: 100% of payment will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.
