VILLA IL TINAIO Farmhouse is a private country villa nestled among acres of vineyards and olive groves halfway between Lucca and Capannori, on the hills of Sant’Andrea in Caprile where it lies the beautiful wine country of Colline Lucchesi. Characterised by rolling hills and sweeping olive groves, this lush landscape promises exceptional views
This former hayloft to the main villa where the owner lives has been totally transformed into a luxurious yet relaxed country home by an interior decorator.
Built in the 16th century, VILLA IL TINAIO was once a hunting lodge belonging to the Guinigi family. Having been in the possession of the current owner’s family for 200 years, the dedication to the upkeep and restoration of the house is evident.
There are two large, comfortable indoor living rooms on separate floors along with a beautiful summer sitting area under a pergola that runs the entire length of the house overlooking the pool area. With breath-taking views and gentle summer breezes, the pergola is the ideal shaded spot for friends and family to gather for leisurely meals, conversations or drinks.
The villa has been designed with ample space to provide quiet, memorable moments. Leading off the entrance hall on the spacious ground floor is the living room with its large, open fireplace. The adjacent dining room and kitchen open onto the south-facing, wisteria-covered shaded pergola. Walk down the stone steps to the pool with a fragrant landscaped garden that offers the perfect place to relax and cool down on a Tuscan summer’s day.
On the ground floor there is a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a second bedroom with two twin beds with a second bathroom with shower.
Up on the first floor there are a third and a fourth master bedrooms with a third bathroom with tub.
This villa, with its complementary mix of antique and contemporary furniture, old handmade terracotta tiles and beautiful gardens, along with all the latest comforts such as sat tv, air conditioning in each room and a strong WIFI connection makes it a recommended setting from which the many gems of Tuscany can be enjoyed.
The pool is open from April 1st to Oct 31st.
