Located in the heart of the coveted Westside neighborhood of Santa Cruz, about 1 mile from Mitchell’s Cove Beach, Natural Bridges State Beach, and West Cliff. The home is an easy 5 minute walk to several excellent breweries, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and coffee shops. A few of our favorites are Humble Sea Brewing Co., Kelly’s French Bakery for pastries, West End Tap and Kitchen for dinner, and Cat & Cloud Coffee. The home is also an easy 8 minute walk to both New Leaf Market and Safeway.
This cozy yet spacious 2 bedroom. 2 bathroom home is designed for people with difficulty maneuvering. While not classified as an "accessible" home, this home is all on one level, has a walk in shower, and has just a small step into the home and out to the patio. The living room has a lift chair and the master bedroom has a queen size tempur-pedic adjustable bed perfect for sleeping, reading in bed, or lifting your back to make it easier to get out of bed.
While ideal for 2 people, there is plenty of seating and space to accommodate a group of 4 people. This is a great home for people traveling for work, grandparents/parents visiting children who live nearby, someone taking a sabbatical at UCSB or a couple looking for a nice place to spend a few months in one of California’s best cities.
We provide coffee and tea. We also provide luxury linens and towels, and top-of-the-line Kiehl’s shampoo/conditioner & body wash.
In order to ensure the safety of our guests, Property Manager has implemented additional cleaning and sanitization procedures in all of our rental properties. The enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures completed by our housekeeping team increases the total cleaning fee rate—we thank you for understanding as we do our part to keep our guests safe.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire home and patio.
The Westside neighborhood is one of the most desirable areas in Santa Cruz. This home is located about 1.3 miles from West Cliff Drive and Natural Bridges State Beach - Voted the #1 and #3 Attractions in Santa Cruz by OTA.
West Cliff:
A popular walking and biking path that spans approximately 2.5 miles from Natural Bridges State Beach to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. West Cliff runs along the ocean the whole way with beautiful views of the Monterey Bay. There are occasional visits by whales and you’ll frequently see dolphins, sea otters, seals, and many sea birds.
Natural Bridges State Park:
An extremely popular destination featuring a large sandy beach, tide pools, and a famous natural rock arch. Once called a natural bridge due to a past connection to the upper parking lot which the sea claimed over a decade ago. Low tide offers amazing tide pool viewing and additional hidden beaches for explorers. You can also explore inland and see the butterflies amongst the pine and eucalyptus groves.
The main entrance is into the living room. From there, to the left is the kitchen or straight ahead takes you to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
While there are 2 bathrooms, the single walk-in shower is in-between both bathrooms and accessible from each. The shower doors are frosted but are not completely opaque.
One bedroom is attached to one of the bathrooms, the other bathroom is directly across the hall from the 2nd bedroom.
The patio has seating for 4 and a tranquil garden with a Buddha to bring peace and tranquility.
Around the corner from the outdoor dining table is a BBQ grill. There are 2 tanks. We do ask you to refill them at the propane exchange if you use one up but there is a 2nd as backup so you don’t run out while cooking.
Washer and Dryer are in the garage for your use.
The owners use the garage for storage, but you can park 2 cars in the driveway.
The METRO Bus Stop 2619 (at Mission St & Swift St) is only a 4 minute walk.
You can easily get a Lyft or Uber from this location.
A grocery store and many amazing restaurants are walking distance.
