Fully renovated house in the heart of the authentic village of Carate Urio, overlooking the lake and surrounded by stairs paths and little gardens. The unique atmosphere is made by decor details (vintage family furniture mixed up with design pieces) and enriched by local stone walls and lace embroidered curtains. The apt is ideal for 2 for a romantic getaway, or for a family of 3/4 (2 adults and 1 or 2 kids). The house - in the heart of the little town of Carate Urio, just few km from Como - is accessible only on foot. The nearest parking place is about 200mt distance. The apartment offers: - a large LIVING ROOM with a dining table for 4, a French sofa bed, a vintage armchair, flat screen tv, fireplace and two French windows to the balcony overlooking the lake. On the balcony there is a breakfast table for 2. - a KTCHENETTE in a separate space, equipped with gas stove, fridge, microwave, tea kettle, moka. - a BEDROOM with a double vintage bed, a little wardrobe, a window overlooking the lake - a BATHROOM with large shower box, wc, bidet and washbasin. Our keyholder will be in touch with you to plan the check in time. At check in, the keyholder will show you the apartment and give the keys. Guests have to show their passports as mandatory by Italian Law. George Clooney chose this beautiful corner of Lake Como to spend his holidays ..... when here, you will realize why! The little towns are peaceful and authentic, no tourists crowds around... but close enough to have fun if you look for it. All the main attractions - as historical villas, museums, gardens, lidos, beaches. restaurants and the city of Como - are max 30 minutes by car, and easy to reach also by bus or ferry. Close to the apartment, there is a family run grocery stocked with all the essentials and some local food from Lake Como and Valtellina (cheese, cold cuts, fish). It is also possible to have fruits&vegetables home delivery directly from the Como’s big market. Car, bus, ferry are the easiest ways to explore the surroundings . Parking could be not so easy during busy season, especially close to the main attractions. Close to the house, there are some parking places for free, then you should reach the apartment on foot (5 minutes walk). Upon request, we can offer you a watched private parking extra charged 10Euros/day.
